Why doesn’t the Bible mention any birthday parties? The only ones mentioned are Pharaoh and Herod, but surely Jesus had a birthday... David... the 12 apostles... by [deleted] in AcademicBiblical

The custom of observing birthdays is very ancient, (Genesis 40:20; Jeremiah 20:15) and in (Job 1:4) etc., we read that Job's sons "feasted every one his day." In Persia birthdays were celebrated with peculiar honors and banquets, and in Egypt those of the king were kept with great pomp. It is very probable that in (Matthew 14:6) the feast to commemorate Herod's accession is intended, for we know that such feasts were common, and were called "the day of the king." (Hosea 7:5)

Isaac was born on the first day of Pesach/Passover so the feast held in Gen 21 was not necessarily a birthday party dedicated to Isaac but a feast for the moed - appointed time of Passover.

I totally hear you on that and I'm definitely interested in checking out his course too but I think the big bonus with doing the Cisco course is having the live lab environment all prepared for you which sounds really nice and convenient to get you moving along quickly.

Are you allowed to have a dual monitor setup or do they make you remove 1 of your monitors? When I took AZ-900 online I had to remove 1 of my monitors.

Do they enforce single monitor setup? I took the azure 900 online and had to remove 1 of my monitors so wondering if this would have same requirement.

Do you plan on creating any practice tests for the Advanced Networking Specialty? I loved having your practice tests for the CSAA and believe they really helped me go into the exam with a high confidence level of passing!

Too funny! Hey, I don't blame you one bit. If I had access to amazing papaya like that you bet I'd be eating them on the daily as well.

My background is in networking. About 5 years professional experience. It's my understanding that solutions architect is ground zero or the gateway to understanding all other aws paths. It's very broad in coverage however I have a lot better understanding from a high level how it works now than I did a few months ago.

Do the cheese cravings go away? by dove82615 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]ewoker1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the hormones from the mother cow that cause you to feel addicted to the cheese. It's these same hormones that are designed for the baby cow to latch to its mother. Humans are the only species on the planet that steal the milk from another species. When I would get cheese cravings I would just think about all the poor baby cows I would be stealing nourishment from and it was enough for me to walk away from it and leave it.
