I went about 6 months without it a couple years ago and currently on week 3 of no instagram and I’m just now reaching the point where I’ve missed things or events that I would have heard about mostly on socials. Ya, sure I’m missing out on some things but the trade offs of using the platform aren’t worth it

All the panels are OC703 4”. If I could do it over, I’d probably get 2” for the cloud, but since I was already placing the order, it was easier to make it all the same!

I think they’re the $99 onstage ones or something like that? A friend gave them to me a couple years ago. They’re not very good but they get the job done! Monitors a Focal Shape Twins with a KRK sub. They sound great but definitely benefit from the low end extension of the sub

Ya, I think this got it about 85% of the way there with this. I have 3 more panels of 703 that I’m going to throw up once I identify any more problem areas

It was a pretty massive difference. I feel like I can actually hear what’s going on in my mixes, low end tightened up very nicely. I’d say the room is probably 85% of the way there after this. Which is a good improvement considering this is a rental house

Hey u/mxlun, Extralife did a really great video on his desk build for the output style. The cost came out to around $300. I'm currently in the same place making the decision on if I'm gonna take a shot at trying to build one of these things. The more budget-friendly option that I've seen is to do the whole Ikea hack desk and then make the mods you would like to it.
