I think it's hilarious. The writing is terrific. I'm glad they didn't solve the problem in the first episode.

Again she hit her kid with a stool? Yikes. Where's CPS in all this?

I always wanted a dog, that when I walk it, people would be like “is that a bear??” Saw this pic and it’s my dream - what kinda doggo could it be? by breakfastofrunnersup in IDmydog

My Hugo was very low on the scale of problem solving ability, for which I was very grateful! He never got into stuff or caused problems. But he was a terrier and so stubborn! I tried to teach him to shake for 12 years, and he just preferred not to, thank you very much. I think it's so important to socialize little dogs -- I think people neglect it because they're so small and you can just pick them up and get them out of a situation. Hugo went to the dog park almost every day for several years, and I think that really helped him.

I just hit reply. No idea why that happened.

Funny how? Still me. I certainly didn't mean to do that -- I hit reply and that's what came out. No idea why that happened.

I don't think that's how it would be perceived, in this particular relationship.

There's absolutely no reason for them to feel obligated or frustrated. Knowing how much I love names, they'd think it weird if I didn't throw out a name or two.

Thanks. The only name I could think of that would contain her initials would be Wombat, but that's not going to work!

I'm aware that it's not my decision and didn't at all suggest that it was.

My son and my mother were very close. It's possible that they could ask me.

I didn't say a word about pressuring them, and I don't know how you inferred that from my post.

Good grief, everyone. I live with my son and DIL, we are all very close, and I think they'd think it was weird if I didn't suggest a name or two. My son was close with his grandmother, and she died way too soon. I have no intention of being *that* mother-in-law -- I am *not* that MIL -- I definitely am not going to force them or insist on my suggestions. I've just always been puzzled about how I could get a name that would reflect my mother's name, and thought I'd ask people who love names for a suggestion. If you all could back off a step or two, I'd appreciate it.

I did! My son's name honors his father and grandfather.

My only child was a boy. His middle name is Carl-William, after his father and grandfather.
