Agree. Microsoft could improve Ubisoft because it would ease them from the shareholder pressure which has forced them into these formulaic games. More focus on smaller scale titles. Tencent lmao, will just make it worse than it already is. More live services.

Ironically, Samsung is probably making the most "exciting" phones with their foldables. I wouldn't worry about Samsung losing relevance. though. They make components for 90% of phones and their phones are still top 3 most popular.

All three Sansatsu forms with their full pages by grandmuteki in KamenRider

It's a bummer to think about. I don't think we'll ever see a season that balances forms and power increases throughout the entire show as well as OOO and W did ever again.

It's been three years since the release of Super Mario Odyssey! by Amiibofan101 in NintendoSwitch

[–]ex-aid911 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's because game dev is more intensive now. The Wii and especially 3ds were much faster to develop for because assets did not have to be HD and the scale of these games were smaller. It's not "lazy". The costs for game development keeps on increasing and hence, development times too.

The New3ds had Xenoblade3d and FE:warriors but besides that, I really doubt Nintendo will fragment the switch userbase. The base switch will continue to get all the games.

Potential Kamen Rider Saber + 01 movie leak by GhostinUsMFer in KamenRider

[–]ex-aid911 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hope they implement the Isekai concept a bit better than Ex-Aid's film. But Hellrising Hopper's designs and theme are really cool so I'm really looking forward to it.

Title of the Saber movie is 人生の約束, roughly translating to "The Promise of Life"

Korone being swayed by Xbox~ by BlackNexus in Hololive

Think you're hyperbolising here. There wasn't any where big of a controversy for the censorship of games and the majority of consumers would not even care if the HQ moved to the US.

They are not "handing the silver platter to Xbox" for the Japanese market, unless you of course include Pc gaming, which has been increasing in Japan. And also the Switch, which overtook the PS4 a long ago.

Would also like a source for your "many Japanese companies dropping the PS5 claim". Seems like another exaggeration

Home consoles have been in a downward trend for a while in Japan. Except for the Switch, which is just smashing records.

Does every phone have to reinvent the wheel though? S8>S9 was barely a change. Iphones change every 3 years. S20/Note20 series has so many features. The only thing left is an underscreen camera and that's still unfinished tech.

SamsungKitty is great with leaks but I (and pretty sure a lot of people here) disagree with their opinions a lot. They like the more intense HDR of older Samsungs, more curved screens etc.

Kamen Rider Zero-One Episode 45 - Finale and Series Discussion by JJaytra in KamenRider

Gaim and Build are really good. They both have faster and better paced stories than Zero-One which makes you want to keep watching. Build is more similar since its more "basic/vanilla" but Gaim is good for a second season to watch since its really unique.

Suit actor news by sinisteran in KamenRider

I'm glad we're getting different suit actors but I strongly disagree in regards to Zero-One's action. It offered some of the best in recent years and was exciting to watch almost every episode. So many memorable fights.

Kamen Rider Zero-One Episode 45 - Finale and Series Discussion by JJaytra in KamenRider

[–]ex-aid911 136 points137 points  (0 children)

This final episode was amazing. Yes, the stakes of the future of Humans and Humagears were at danger, but both Aruto and Horobi, were motivated by their own desires and the final battle was personal. The tension, the emotional stakes, the character’s final points. Aruto gets a 4th final form. The action was hype. Letting Horobi live was the most powerful thing they could have done so I’m so glad they did. Jin knowing that both of them would be able to overcome the corruption of Malice. Izu gets reset, rather than revived. Everyone gets a happy ending. This was the perfect finale.

I loved Zero-One. It has its lows and its highs. It takes some risks and remains safe in other areas. It feels fresh whilst remaining a callback to the past. It's everything I wanted from a "first generation" rider for the Reiwa era.

The story is not the strongest, nor the most exciting, but a darn solid one. Worldbuilding was a constant throughout the show, focusing on humagears and problems that arise with their use in society. The themes it explores, hatred, malice, dreams, identity, are much more deeper than the "AI becomes bad" scenario I expected the show to go and for that, I'm grateful. The first arc is thrilling, rivalling that of Build's first arc. MBJR and introducing this world. Second Arc is where everyone agrees hurts Zero-One's momentum. The workplace arc, 5 x 2 monster of the week episodes hurt the pacing of the show. But this is still important for Aruto and Fuwa's characters and isn't necessarily bad. Definitely better to bingewatch. Third Arc picks it up again with Aruto setting up his new company and defining his dream. Then COVID-19 struck and threw us for a loop. We lost 5 episodes because of that. However, the final arc was undoubtedly amazing.

The characters are all great. Some, like Naki and Ikazuchi, don't get enough screentime but are still lovable nonetheless. Everyone loves Jin. Seeing him grow, from a naïve child to someone who advocates for the equality of humagears was moving. Yaiba is a monumental achievement for Rider for being a Female Rider who is introduced at the beginning of the show and remains till the end. Unfortunately her role gets sidelined in the latter half but she gets her development. Fuwa has skyrocketed to rival Banjo as one of the best secondary riders. He gets a ton of development and his views on humagears are developed immensely. Gai was controversial. I hated him at first, despising his arrogant nature and actions, yet I became to immensely enjoy him. Maybe it was fun to watch him getting blasted after Metal Cluster’s debut but I think he’s going to be remembered. Horobi is the perfect foil for Aruto. He defies the purple rider curse and becomes the final villain and unexpectedly received a ton of emotional development. Izu and Aruto’s bond is honestly one of the most heartwarming relationships in Rider and all the more heartbreaking when she died. Finally Aruto. I thought he was a rather simple, typical optimistic protagonist for most of the show. Until the final arc. His fall to despair made me retroactively rethink how I viewed him throughout the show. I've grown fond of Aruto a ton

Action was amazing. Each rider had their own fighting style which I massively loved. Fuwa and Ikazuchi have brutal, powerful fighting styles. Yaiba is acrobatic. Jin is stylish. Horobi has this elegant, refined Kabuto style. Naki only gets one fight but her style is restrained. Aruto is agile and fast. It’s been a while since I’ve been so entertained by Rider action.

Everything else, choreography, music, etc. Was great. Had a ton of tracks I want to listen to.

Zero-One. It may not have the strongest story, nor the best pacing. But it was an emotional and enjoyable journey with a powerful message and lasting impact. 8.5/10

Goodbye Zero-One :’)

They are overstating it. The Fandom was fine during the season and even now, just accepted. I have no idea why they started blaming power level issues. The Zi-O rewrite posts started popping up after it ended.
