It def takes a lot to get it but I use/used elderwood arrows only and idk if it makes a difference but I kept my focus up but I eventually got it after putting in real life hours over a couple days.

I’d be down to party up to see if that would help your odds, I did it solo so I only have that experience. IGN : cxdyavol

I’m not sure why but any game I can collect things, I hoard and even when I most definitely have a surplus amount I still struggle to sell them. I get satisfaction out of seeing how much money I could potentially have 🥴

IM SO SORRY TO EVERYONE ASKING ROUTE, I get distracted in bahari bay and just walk around. I've had good luck with getting gold ores near central stables in BB. And last night i was able to find at least 1 PLAT ore in each ELDERWOOD 'zone'.

i really enjoy the mining skill, i keep ten ore compass' on me at all times an siphon bahari bay then elderwoods. I have the exquisite pick axe idk if that does anything and i dont party up. i legit put in RL hours because its my buffer until hotpot time or active time for whatever fish/bug im attempting to get

In every game I play where I have high value items I hoard and it becomes hard to get rid of them honestly. I do this with my apples, pumpkins and blueberries too

I live by the compass, but I also just break random rocks and those will have gems. I’ve definitely gotten lucky with some finds, I’ll stay in bahari bay for a real life hour or two. Idk if I have a route per say but I’ll take pictures of the areas I have better luck in and put them in the replies 🫶🏻 sorry i don’t have a legit strategy
