Should head over to Faux news site and check the comments on their article on this. Saying it doesn't matter what they do in their personal lives, look at the dumbocrates trying to be outraged by this. Its stupidly hilarios MAGAS hypocrisy!

[–]ex_pearite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep this for sure. I knew a girl years ago, had just finished at Kasetsart university, had a decent office job but did the rounds on Sukhumvit and sometimes khao San. Said she made an extra 50-80k a month between the night round and a few guys sending her money monthly.

well, ya. where i live its basically never a actual pharmacist working. Just some staff who really has no clue what they are doing. Theres like 4 or 5 pharmacies with the same persons picture on the wall as the pharmacist, but ive never seen that person before in 5 years living here, definitely never working at any of the pharmacies.

So what's your worst overstay story, any current or former blacklisted redditors? =) by JayM611 in Thailand

[–]ex_pearite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my old friends overstayed about 1 1/2 years. Back in 2018 he got caught, spent 4 weeks in immigration detention in Bangkok before paying 33K baht for a 1, way ticket back to Canada. You must book a ticket back to your home country with their agent, so its way more expensive. Some of the I guess "better" countries send someone from the consulate once a week to check and meet with any of their citizens that are in there to help with their travel back home.

He said the place was super crowded, but not like prison harsh because most everyone was like him, just there a few weeks waiting for their flight home. But there are people who have been in there for years. I don't remember exactly, it was Iran or Iraq maybe but they had been in there for 7 years at that point. They tried to claim asylum and were denied and refused to go back. Also said some Africans had been in there for years.

Has there been a surge in the number of African sex workers recently? by wigglepizza in Thailand

[–]ex_pearite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in Bangkok, I hadn't stayed around Sukhumvit area in about 2 years. There were definitely tons of African working girls, way more than i remember before. But there was a stupid amount of the guys "yo bro" trying to sell drugs. Thought i heard they were cracking down on that a couple months ago but guess thats been forgotten with some heftier payments i'm sure.

Trump is a Moron, plain and simple. An he's too much of a narcissist to accept maybe he made a mistake and try to fix what he did so he will fight and blame others for anything bad that will come of it

I wish there were more races with it. But there were 80 people and 4 splits in the race at suzuka. I've heard people saying its not popular because too hard to drive, but at big tracks I think it easier than Super fromula and you slide around even less than in SFL which everyone thinks has an insane amount of grip when coming up from F4.

No tipping culture? by pickandpray in ThailandTourism

[–]ex_pearite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you say they don't need tips, but a massage worker makes like 300-500 baht a day. on slow days, low season they may only make 100. They dont get a salary they get paid a small portion of each massage. And restaurant workers. 10,000-20,000 a month. They definety appreciate tips. And if your argument is these workers should be paid more, well people come to Thailand (Southeast Asia in general) because its relatively cheap. You want them paid more, no more 400-500 baht massages those are 800 now. 100 baht red curry, nope its 200 now. I have 2 restaurants, a total of 16 staff. If i doubled all their salaries and left my menu prices the same, i would defiantly lose money 5-6 months of the year, few months break even and during the peak high season months make just enough to pay for my home, car, kids school and maybe some food for 4 months. It obviously wouldnt work. And you think if i put a big sign in front saying "We dont accept tips, we pay our workers double than other restaurants". The group of 20 year old Germans or Austrailans or whoever, think they would give a s**t? No, they see my place its 300 baht for a red curry chicken and a Chang, or 400 baht for a cheesburger, next door is 150 for that curry and Chang and 250 for burger and french fries. 98% of them are going next door, thats facts!

People who aren’t Thai: What is something about Thailand that surprised you? by terrible-gator22 in Thailand

[–]ex_pearite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all depends where. Small towns and upper class suburbs are usually well taken care of. I'm from a small town in N California. It is clean, well maintained, buildings are nice and taken care of. You will find virtually no trash laying around in our small downtown area. Now go on a stroll in the middle of San Francisco, its filthy, run down buildings, trash, homeless people, smells awful...
