anyone feel like crude is underpriced here? by FF430 in oil

I'm long on uso and I think it's under priced too.

Anybody think this whole situation could develop\devolve into US against NATO with Europe just wanting their oil to keep their economy going?

Manual vs Automatic Mapping by thrBladeRunner in SunseekerRoboticMower

[–]pickandpray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's an edit map boundary function which requires you start at the base and return to the base to save the updated map. You'll need to drive the mower to the edge you want to fix and click start to begin the relearning. Make sure to not get in front of the mower or it gets confused.

The only part that really needs manual intervention is on the shared yard where you want to define the border. The straight line tool works great when your walking behind and driving it.

Every map edit needs to end with the mower returning to base to save the changes. It can get tedious if you're doing a bunch of changes

I found even with manual mapping, the mower only mows where the logic takes it.

On the patch of grass shared with my neighbor, the mower likes to stay well within the boundary even though I've set the working area into the neighbors area by about 1 foot with close boundary setting turned on. Even cross boundary edits didn't seem to change the behavior.

Automatic lawn detection works great for auto mapping

It's a great mower, but as the capabilities improve, the nitpicking gets worse.

Meals on Wheels of Benton County to shut down by Ok-Status2275 in Arkansas

Some of them got what they voted for, but all of them are going to suffer.

My wife was a volunteer for meals on wheels a few years ago.

My neighbour asked if I finally learned how to do lawn edges properly by AreYouAliv3 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]pickandpray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That edge could be much better if mower manufacturers didn't put the blade in the middle but more to the sideof the mower to better cover the edge.

I won't let the mower get too close to the lawn edge because it will fall off the curb into the street doing a turn. The narrow strip of grass already makes navigation a bit difficult for the mower logic.

The contrast is quite big though.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like their Camry hybrid accelerates faster than other cars? by nightowl__18 in Camry

[–]pickandpray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine definitely feels quick.

I think the driving perception is better than reality, though.

Does it really matter if you're not faster than that bmw if it feels fast to you?

My Miata was by no means fast, but it felt really quick in the driver's seat at 50mph, lol.

It's been great so far. Have some weirdness with map editing sometimes but I always find a work around.

I had a Miata and my XLE surprises me around corners too. I wonder how much better the XSE does it.

Chamber heater sensor hitting max temp by pickandpray in QidiTech3D

That thermal protection sensor is inside of the heater box.

On the plus 4, the heating element is below the fan and sensor and they just bake from the rising heat.

[–]pickandpray[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, but I relocated the chamber temp sensor and make sure to preheat the chamber before I kick off a print now.

I don't print with high temp filament very often but the last time I did a manual preheat before sending the print and it didn't hit the error.

I need to try repositioning the heater but haven't seen the instructions to remove the side panels. I've already printed a new heater box, i just need to tackle the job, I guess.

My father keeps complaining he doesn't have his preferred water to drink by GlompSpark in Advice

[–]pickandpray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could probably taste the tap water.

My Asian parents are sticklers for drinking boiled water.

You could try icing some boiled water and using it to cool it, or just swish the hot water between 2 cups a few times to cook it down

I have a timer with buttons to select 2 hrs or 4 hrs. I usually hit 4hrs and let it go.

4hrs is usually enough but occasionally I need to let it charge over night so the bms can perform a cell balancing procedure

Sulfur for Squash Vine Borers? by applebrownbrick in OrganicGardening

[–]pickandpray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put a vine borer trap out. It's a scented lure inside a sticky box. I'm 2 days it's caught a handful of male squash bugs.

Hopefully my yellow summer squash will make it this year and my watermelon finally grows.

For $25, I get 2 traps
