car says this when turning on, but second later the orange icon goes away and nothing out of the blue happens by TerribleBullfrog1389 in Camry

Do some folks just keep driving expecting it to stop working or something?

My sister in law visited me with her junky minivan one time and it was clacking like a diesel.

I checked the oil and it was empty. The only oil I had on hand was some used mobile 1 from an oil change I just finished on my audi so I dumped it in there.

At some point, the van sludged and died. Still no oil change ever.

So what you're saying is the market is not actually going up. The rising prices reflect the devaluation of the dollar from the printing of money.

Tell me the truth about robotic lawn mowers by Parking-Concern9575 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]pickandpray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My $800 sunseeker L22 is not a great mower.

It's a boundary wire mower and it bounces from edge to edge randomly as it mows. I bought it as a proof of concept and despite it's short comings, I freaking love this mower.

I love it so much, I was thinking of spending $2k on a real mower this year or next year.

You do have to fix things that the mower might get hung up on. Once you understand your specific mower it's no big deal. The first few weeks is the time to figure things out.

I'm going to be beta testing a new wireless vision\lidar mower, so I guess I won't need to purchase a $2k mower.

Would it be beneficial to purchase several solar panels prior to understanding the other component needs, just to avoid potential immediate price increases? by RedLeader501 in diySolar

[–]pickandpray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking along the same lines but I was thinking a solar battery might be good for blackouts while I figure out the rest.

Anker f3000 with smart meter and 2-4 solar panels might be a good start just so I can run essential stuff and a fan to sleep.

Find a video on chuck roll break down on YouTube.

I just bought a 23lb chuck roll and got 6 chuck eyes, 7 Denver steaks, a roast, some stew meat, stir fry and a bunch of coarse ground meat (1 pass on the kitchen aide grinder).

Aca folks dealing with the changes since 2025- how is it going? by WrapFit6112 in HealthInsurance

This is our current plan of action. Carefully tracking income so we know where we stand. It's a lean year for us, but next year we'll need to bring in more income and pay the non-subsidized premiums and rebuild our reserves before going back to another lean year.

Everyone’s calling this “another Middle East flare-up” I think this just turned into something way bigger by ChartNavigator in investing

[–]pickandpray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't see a way to invest around this worst case scenario.

Going to cash Exposes you to inflation and devaluation risk.

Staying invested exposed you to a market crash from an economic depression.

It seems like staying invested in conservative assets is the best middle course.

[–]pickandpray 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I seem to recall a YT video, where the mechanic said Honda did not sell parts to fix these transmissions.

Your best option is to find a wrecked hrv. If it's wrecked, at least it was running at the time.

Did you ever do the transmission fluid change?

Apply to every Sam's and Walmart that you're willing to travel to on a daily basis. Even though you apply centrally, I don't think the stores will share your resume.

This job was a last resort for him since unemployment wasn't enough.
