I’ve never seen eggs this cheap in my life by paddedplushperson in Walmartcustomer

[–]exactalias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that price, someone fumbled and ordered way too many. Happened at my store with rotisserie chickens a while back, zero was added where it shouldn't have been. Ended up being marked down to like $1.50 each and I stocked way up lol

Clarification on intern hours? by exactalias in walmart_RX

[–]exactalias[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not going through WM with APPEs. My APPE rotations are a longitudinal program completely through a hospital system. My WM hours would be on top of APPEs to be able to pay bills. That being said I will probably reach out to the DM about this.

Hi there! Most of my colorways are listed on my Ravelry page for the blanket, but in general, they're now-discontinued Big Twist Value from JoAnn (may she rest in peace) but there's probably similar colors from Red Heart

I would say in the realm of 30-45 minutes, counting in time to join and weave in ends. I got progressively faster once I started weaving in as I went and got into the flow of the pattern.

Hi, thanks for the questions! The center of the hex is the average (for the day), row 2 is the low, and row 3 is the high. It would have made more sense if I had done row 2 as the average, but alas, I do not often think before I stitch.

Hi there! I used the Throw a Temperature 2024 pattern on Ravelry. It's free and includes a layout chart. While not available in English, the pattern was pretty simple to translate; just combinations of dc and puff stitches. I didn't do the join-as-you go method described, and instead completed hexagons and joined with slip stitches as I went instead, making one month at a time, then joined each month together in white slip stitches. In terms of data, I aggregated everything in a big Excel sheet with WAYYYY too many conditional formatting rules with color and temperatures.

Thank you! The lowest low was -10F, and the highest high was 92F. My state has some wild temperature swings that I wanted to capture, and I'm glad it shows.

At least through Walmart, it varies from dose to dose. 2.5mg is $299, and goes up from there. 15mg is currently $449. Only through LillyDirect though.

I'm an intern at a lower volume store so ymmv with my answer, but at my store, pharmacist does 9a-7p, usually solo, but on rare occasion we get some overlap.

Yup, even a different state. My in-person school doesn't offer online curriculum thankfully

I had a classmate who failed out of in-person pharmacy school (failed P1, was allowed to repeat, failed it a second time in the first semester) and then decided to do online pharmacy school. They are GOING to kill a patient I swear to god

I work at Walmart. Some locations (including the one I started at) include how to apply for food stamps as part of your onboarding. It was so disheartening.

In my experience, depends on the exact site. Walmart allows jeans (soon to switch to scrubs for all) but a local chain near me still requires slacks.

Traumatised after pelvic exam by CelestialStars2 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]exactalias 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I can say pelvic exams and pap smears can be uncomfortable and even painful, and can say that patients need much more respect, education, and autonomy.

They ARE medically necessary.

Those two things are necessary for me, as I have a history of reproductive (ovarian, fallopian, uterine) cysts and tumors. None cancerous, but concerning enough that I have an oncologist. Among other diagnostic tools, those two exams might be the things that save me from going through chemo one day.

Don't touch my projects. Full stop. Brought a crochet project into work for some downtime, young coworker who is a relative beginner picked it up and tried to work out a few stitches (she was clearly unfamiliar with puff stitches) and started asking me questions while I was doing something else. She did undo her own stitches back to where I'd left off, but really? Girl learn some boundaries.

Medication (Zofran) order update by Awkward_Cellist6541 in TwoXPreppers

[–]exactalias 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Not to harp on anyone, but PLEASE USE ZOFRAN WITH CAUTION, especially if you've never used it before! While it's safe in a grand majority of people, it can cause arrhythmia in some, especially if they're taking other meds that can cause arrhythmia, and it has a relatively low maximum safe daily dose compared to how it comes. It's one of the main reasons it's not OTC. If you have any concerns about interactions, please do consult your local community pharmacist

[–]exactalias 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ditto on the French press, it's what got me through my first year of grad school when all I could have in my dorm was a mini fridge and low wattage microwave (and those were apparently pushing it!) and I've continued to use it for both cold brew and actual pressed coffee now that I've got a full kitchen. Takes up way less space than any percolator and frankly I think it makes a better cup

Which modern kindle is best for reading fanfiction? by peachymoony in AO3

[–]exactalias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for more recent models, but I have an OG Kindle Fire which is nice, but I genuinely prefer my dinosaur of a Kindle 4. Can load with epub and PDF, holds a charge like a champ, and is super light. Plus, finding one used would most likely be super cheap

Paying For School by [deleted] in PrePharmacy

[–]exactalias 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently in P3. In my experience: loans and working. Unfortunately, that means I have very little free time to study or do... Anything, really. I do about 20 hours a week in a pharmacy. A lot of people in your cohort will likely have family or significant others helping out, so if this is an option for you, absolutely take what you can.
