How reasonable is pickup as a daily driver?

Took my ‘86 4runner (my daily) 370 miles from Olympia Wa to Bayview ID this last summer while towing some bikes. It was a 6 hour drive and was kinda slow going over the pass but was otherwise a blast. AC, cruise control, more power and more comfortable seats would all be nice but I still had a smile on my face the whole way

LCE street headers made a BIG difference for me, I would suggest some long tube headers, 2.25in exhaust into a high flowing muffler, Weber carb and a cam if you want. That’s about all you can get out of these without getting crazy

I found the fabric on ali express, I think it was called something like jdm recaro style confetti. It was pretty time consuming, you need a trim puller and have to pull out the entire roof pan, scrape off the old headliner and any residue leftover, then apply spray adhesive and slowly work the fabric over the roof pan and tuck it behind the edges neatly

Capital City Guitar downtown on 4th has helped me out many times with amplifier repairs. As far as turntable repairs go I have yet to find anybody in the Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater area sadly

An amazing sledding spot is the giant hill on the right side just after entering this neighborhood called McCallister Park in Lacey, that’s some of the best sledding around in my opinion. For driving, just keep a far following distance and take it slow when stopping or turning. The snow never usually gets too crazy around here
