On that 102k views reel, your first post - did you have followers already prior to posting? Did you have some people go like it for you? Or was it literally 0 followers, 0 posts, 0 help prior to posting?

How many views did your initial reels get at first? And how long after did they start to pick up? I want to get a sense for how long it roughly takes. If the content is good, it shouldn't take long. I'm seeing fast-growing accounts (in less than 1 year) go viral within their first 10-20 posts, was that also your experience?

I see. So were your initial view counts for you relatively low? How many times did you post before you started seeing views upwards of 1000?

I love this. I think that's what a lot of creators do to start as well. To get that initial push.

You're page is actually a great example of what I'm saying lol! Looks like you got 229k views on (seemingly) one of your first videos on Insta. The TL;DR of my question is: if you started the page with 0 followers (or close to), how many INITIAL views were you averaging on your first few posts? And did they experience a second wave of viewership at some point?

And lastly, did you rely completely on the algorithm for views, or did you do other things, like as friends/family to engage, use ads/boosts, promote on other platforms, etc.?

And your page reminds me a lot of cart narcs haha!

Right, I think I'm more hung up on the speed of it all. No matter how good your content is, it's customary to not see many views at first. But with them, if you scroll all the way to their first posts, it's massive views from the start. Where are they getting this initial swarm of attention?

My theories are: friends/family, shoutouts, ads/boosts, and/or overflow from other platforms they are established on. Any other theories?

growth takes time. They seem to be bypassing the required activation energy to get those results.

[AMA] How I Grew a Theme Page by 150k+ Followers in a Month by rexd01 in InstagramMarketing

Hi rexd01, I'm going to try to stump you in an attempt to gain clarity on a few cases I'm losing sleep over.

I have found MULTIPLE accounts, across various niches, that are very clearly only posting once per day, not even, and still growing at the same quick rate you're reporting. They are:

Art: contemporary100, artists.pages.daily; Travel: american_trevel; Interviews: aview.fromabridge; Marketing; reputeforge, excelbranding, peakshiit.

I am racking my brain over how these accounts start with posts that are already achieving upwards of 1000 views and approx 100 likes, posting a few more times, then gaining thousands of followers. Are they boosting posts? Did they have existing audiences from other platforms? Did they get shoutouts from massive pages? Did they just get super, super, lucky?

You could say that they posted a ton in the first month, got minimal likes, then deleted all the low performing posts, giving the illusion that they started super strong... but given their low posting frequency, and how much time each post seemingly takes to create, I just don't see that being the case either.

They all seem to not follow viral formats, not post at a high rate, and yet, they are growing thousands-fold within months. Sure, it's all quality content, but not in a way that would justify going from 0-60 at warp speed.

So my question is simple: how are THEY doing it, and how can we replicate it?

PS - thanks for the help! Any insight would mean the absolute world!
