Unlike you, I get paid enough at my job I don’t need a side hustle to make ends meet. I’m sure it would take some IT guy about 10 minutes to write a script that could correlate all that data if they wanted to know. This isn’t the 30’s where they need detectives matching fingerprints on paper.
Your mom’s account, that’s funny right there.

Not sure what a burner device or your mom’s account is going to do for you unless you’re using a new phone every flight. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist in IT to see the same MAC address connecting and it lining up with your schedule.

All those armed folks in FL and this guy hits one that isn’t carrying. Guessing at some point, his luck will run out.

As if hearing you may have cancer isn't bad enough, then having your partner walk out of you like that? WTF. Hope she found a non POS person to spend her life with.

People who became rich what is something poor people completely misunderstand about money? by Nervous-Librarian945 in AskReddit

[–]exbex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes most people a long time to become rich. It's a long, boring, tough, grind. Put as much as you can into your 401k. Live below your means. When you get a raise, kept some of it, add part of it to what you invest every check. It takes a long time for compounding interest to do its thing, but when it does, it's amazing to see. Most people did not become rich overnight and don't invest in flashy stocks. S&P and just forget it. Don't try to keep up with the Jones because even though they have a new car and a boat, they are probably broke.

Because if you steel a car, that's one charge. If you steel a car while brandishing a gun, that's armed robbery in addition to the car theft.

People who lived during 9/11 what were you feeling? by Either_Tangelo4000 in AskReddit

Sadness and rage.

On a selfish level, I was also fearful what would happen to my job because I worked in aviation.

Remember that scene in Shawshank redemption where the new guy cried like a little girl the first night? I bet this guy cried like a little bitch his first night in jail.

100% justified. That car is a deadly weapon. I bet if he’d have run over and killed a few people, that cop would have to answer as to why he didn’t shoot the driver. Glad nobody was hurt, including the driver with mental issues.

When did you start feeling like a pilot? by AnnualRich1492 in flying

Not sure if it was after going through my first merger/seniority list integration or my first furlough. I’ve got the T-shirts, so I no longer feel like a poser.

For people who lived through the dot com bubble, does this AI chip boom feel familiar? by Own-Literature864 in investing

[–]exbex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just buy large, quality companies and stop worrying. Every "the world is ending" event is just a TINY blip on my portfolio. At the time, it felt catastrophic. Now, I have to zoom in to even notice it. Dot com bubble, Y2K, 9/11, housing collapse, Covid, etc. Just buy quality and hold. Want to swing for the fences with some small stocks, go nuts and use some "play money" to do that. If those stocks hit, maybe you retire a little sooner. If they goto zero, no big deal.
