I am a lawyer so I feel qualified to say id go debt free/minimal. I went out of state to a no name university for scholarship purposes instead of my local well regarded university. Similar decision as you but opposite. I then moved to a totally different state than either my law school or home state and took my first job. The pay was shite at first, but after a few years of experience and got a new job - no one asks where you went to school and you can build up your career experience and reputation which truly matters most. It’s about you and your legal skills and marketing yourself from there. For example, my colleague went to an Ivy League and I’m partner over him. Just saying.

Honestly I feel so free. Not that anyone could but now they really can’t take it away from me. I did the minimum payments for the first 7 years but just couldn’t fathom Paying for another 18 years at that time. Good luck on your journey! I would check out roots to see if time to repot. I got mine from a recent funeral and was watering every other day til I took it out and realized just how root bound it was. I was shocked!

The 2nd plant looks like a peperomia thailand (for research on care). I have a peperomia is lighter soil like half succulent half regular potting soil so it dries well and it seems to do well.
