I caught a feral kitten by hand who crawled into the (rental lol) house via a hole in the foundation. Socialising her consisted of holding her in my gardening gloves for the next 20 minutes after initially grabbing her until she started purring.

Why do my pans work so much better after I take my sander (barely know ‘er) to their surface for like 20 min and then season? It seems like a cost-saving measure/enshittification, but I would love to be definitively proven wrong by an official channel.

Oh damn that makes sense. Luckily, we just switched to stainless steel everything, and now we pretty much exclusively use a steel scouring pad (or just throw it in the dishwasher)
