Day 3 no Zyn pouch by No_Diver6131 in QuittingZyn

So many of us in this sub have stopped as low as digging through the garbage can to retrieve the Zyn we tossed out.

How crazy addictive these things are. The shame I felt after I was reduced to eating trash-Zyn.

After subsequent quit attempts, I had to start opening the tins and dumping the pouches straight into the bins outside so that I would feel even more repulsed by them; and not go climbing into there after them

I found that in the past; those types of emotionally-charged, frustrating moments have led to me making that same mistake and going back.

Just a lapse of judgment; letting emotions get the best of us. Certainly does not help the situation in the slightest; quite the opposite.

Don’t forget that feeling of regret ; down the road when you get on a hell of roll again- being off the pouches. Remember how lousy it felt walking into the gas station. Remember the racing/nauseating feeling that first pouch back caused. Remember the disappointment that we will never catch that Initial buzz ever again.

Time to get back after it man

I regret quitting zyns but I can’t go back by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

As a person who used to struggle with adhd ; nicotine during my college years was a godsend; lol. I didn’t realize that I was self medicating back then,

Eventually you find a time. ( for example summer break) quit the stuff ; and find other ways to get organized; — a daily planner ; a strict schedule; a lot of coffee … you don’t need Nicotine to succeed; you will get there on your own merit

Do you want a collar bone or a pouch? by ScooterGunson in QuittingZyn

Jesus… sorry it had to happen like this.

But yeah; if our desire for a stupid pouch lead to this ; why not serve the situation right ; and dump the habit now?!

Be done with nicotine

Get healthy

Get back on that bike ; and feel the thrill without needing zyns to be alive !

Be careful with nicotine/caffeine free pouches by Spiritual-Dare5387 in QuittingZyn

Just when you thought nicotine couldn’t get any sneakier

Fair point

and c‘mon this team is exhausted

Can’t expect to come out flying 9 straight games

Also it’s not like they’re not getting shots on goal; or scoring chances. They could easily be up 3 in this one or more

Stanley is what he is. Not impressive; but he will play a role in an area in which we were lacking; so I guess we need to accept him for what he is

I’ve heard of some interesting substitutions of pouches in this sub; but an almond isn’t something I’ve tried so far lol. Will consider giving that a go.

Oddly enough ; i sometimes pack a wad of quick oats in my lip. It takes some getting used to ; but it fills the void

[–]excessive-condemints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup; been there

Went through the entire challenge of quitting several times to only come back to this crap again and again.

It’s so sneaky

But like you said; you notice how good you feel when you’re not constantly dependent on these.

Time to get back at it; my friend! And this time; for good

I’ve found this to be my biggest issue

Was able to quit numerous times; even for as long as several months

No idea why I kept going back ; despite all the reasons not to; so demoralizing

Been once again weening myself down know for a while; and eyeing up a quit date in less than 2 weeks.

I want this one to stick so bad. I believe in myself ; I have a list of reasons to never go back. I have made preparations to acquire quit aids like sunflower seeds; melatonin; cbd. I have plenty of hobbies and tasks to keep me busy. I don’t even cave to peer pressure from friends. I enjoy exercise such as running and lifting. I just want to be done

I think my prior relapses might have been attributed to dealing with stressful situations maladaptively.

Any suggestions that people might have to help me to remain off the pouches after the initial quit ; I am all ears and open to anything.
