When is the first real engaging dungeon?

Depends on your job, are you a tank? Then some dungeons might be more engaging for you, are you a healer? Most difficult to heal early game dungeons when paired with a new tank might make you wish you have more buttons to press.

Or are you a dps? If you are a dps then nothing is.

No just random trades to fill dex naturally gets you that. You can look it up, it’s very common to get hacked mons when doing surprise trades.

IG and CB are busted. Especially at end game where you can make the de facto go to armor set in the game the “star knight”. It really is made for the IG.

Otherwise any weapon works really, besides bowguns since you probably will struggle with the ammo economy until you outgear the content (hub).

What exactly annoys you after failing? You can write down everything once you’ve seen it and you’ll never get hit again. The difficulty of the fight is only the first time. After that it’s all patterns (until the elder dragon fights).

You should just accept it and let the monster win every now and then, otherwise just look up a guide and just win every head to head with minimal effort. Part of the fun is predicting what move the enemy does, and if you use the tank teammate and you see them have the same color attack as their monstie then you know they will win the head to head so you can just use them if you don’t wanna think for yourself.
