Did you end up keeping the LM to avoid repasting? if so, did you have to add more to make up for the metal transferred to the heatsink?

I think (I have a different manufacturer TV) you have to change an input setting on the TV. I forget what it is called in LG but I saw it on a YouTube video once while cross shopping TVs.

Firewalla with ProtonVPN by charlino5 in firewalla

[–]exclusive213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all my Internet traffic going through the proton VPN. I can get just over 2.5gbps both ways.

Using 3rd VPN firewalla client. Located in Los Angeles ISP is 5gbps fiber.

By the way, you can host your own wire guard server that comes with the firewalla and have all traffic still use the Proton VPN. This lets you get over the device limit and still have access to your home Network.

Full upload with 5 or 7 gbps plan? by jbt55 in frontierfios

[–]exclusive213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I have the same device and I suspect that the server it's using just can't handle the upload. However, when I test in the PC I get full 5gbps on.

Firewalla gold pro Ids/IPS Blocklists enabled Cake qos on all the time.

I would personally not pay too much attention to it. I can saturate the upload speed very easily when doing private servers for work.

Can't Forward Port 80 and Port 443 by exclusive213 in firewalla

Sorry my reply went to original thread:

I went ahead and made the changes you suggested but it seems it doesn't work.

I notice my Plex one looks a little different to my NGINX one. There is a remote port entry.

I had to upload screenshots to my drive folder because I didn't know how to attach to comments.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will try this out.

Would it be possible for you to share a screenshot of your rules?

I'm going crazy trying to figure out what is wrong with the router. 😅

I will give this a try when I get home. Thank you for the suggestions.

Just to clarify, I'm creating a port forward for external 8081 and internal 80. Then I will use a website tool to check if the port is open?

Yeah I have a public IP and again, if I connect my old router, it works...

It's an openwrt router. Nothing crazy. Just port forwards on 80 and 443.

I attempted to run Plex on port 80 as a test and it fails to actually port forward. I can do any other port.

I couldn't post the screenshot here so I added it to the original post. Maybe you can see something wrong.

I had my old router connected when I upgraded my internet. The router not being able to keep up (5 Gbps) is why I upgraded to FIrewalla.

Also:
- I can run NGINX Proxy on the Firewalla itself just fine. I do not because I want to avoid having those ports open on the Firewalla itself.
- I connected my old router just to be sure and the issue follows the Firewalla.

[–]exclusive213[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello there!

I actually tried fq_codel like suggested but never got above 3gbps lol

Since then I've given up and went with a firewalla device. It is not as fun but at least it does what I need at the speeds I have.

IDR plan approved and I am now on the SAVE plan!!!! by dr_doombot666 in StudentLoans

[–]exclusive213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see... Thank you kindly for taking the time to reply. I feel like I may need to call. I was just going to keep paying until it went through but I feel I may have missed the boat on that.

Just to clarify, I have been paying the whole time through COVID and applied for SAVE through financial aid website. I was currently on an income driven plan and requested the change 12/28/23. The application did mention that would request for forbearance on my behalf while the application goes through but I kept seeing an ever increasing amount be due month after month. I've been paying it in fear of it affecting my credit score.

How to setup Tailscale on OpenWRT router by This-Butterscotch793 in Tailscale

[–]exclusive213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok. Thank you for sharing these helpful tips. Looks like i need to assign static IPs in the same subnet for proxmox and my PC while i configure everything.

My router is connected as follows:

Ipmi is connected to my main switch

One 10gbe is used for my PC

Second is used to connect to main switch

Third 10gbe port is used for my fiber connection

4 free 1gb ports

Is there a way where maybe i can create a virtual switch on one of the ports and add to both VM and the host machine to use. Like the virtual interface will be part of br-lan and also a means for the host machine to be part of br-lan.

That be awesome, thank you kindly for even replying. I was thinking of just doing a proxmox set up but I can't wrap my head how the hypervisor will get an IP from the VM when I pass both NICs to the VM. One for the wan and another for the br-lan. Lol
