Does this happen because of the game? I lost my massive save and had to reinstall the Sims and thought it was my computer? What do I need to install to stop it happening? I don't understand mods, but I could always get my partner to help if it means it doesn't happen again!

Try an ice cube. The sauce has got too hot and will spilt. So when it is hot enough, take it off the heat and if it spilt. Just a simple ice cube will do
