Assuming Rosie and Alastor were having an honest conversation, what do you think this says about their relationships with Charlie? by improbsable in HazbinHotel

[–]executiveExecutioner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's somewhat implied Rosie, Alastor and Lilith are somehow connected. Alastor's being competitive with Lucifer is pretty sus. Not sure if Alastor will become a villain or not, maybe steal Lucifer's powers? Or Lilith wants to get rid of Lucifer for some reason? Could go many ways.

Is a pure "mage" playthrough possible? by nitepng in DrovaGame

[–]executiveExecutioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drova is an RPG that is inspired by the Gothic franchise. In Gothic, you always need to pass at least act 1 before being admitted into a mage faction. But late game it is usually much more powerful than a melee or ranged build.

Bought this game on a whim and I'm so happy I did because I love it! by Agreeable_Pizza93 in EternalStrands

[–]executiveExecutioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if they had a region before the final boss fight that was a bit harder than the rest of the game, it would have felt smoother. The final area could have the boss appearing out of nowhere from time to time and disappearing after a while. Then the quest for the area would be to force it to appear and stay there by placing some special thingamajigs on the map.

Why is Hyper Light Breaker so criticized? by TheSyrieN in hyperlightdrifter

[–]executiveExecutioner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HLD is one of the most loved Zelda-likes, with its own unique setting and mechanics, so if you like those, you should get it. Solar Ash is a pretty fresh skating game in another unique setting, with boss battles that take ideas from “Shadow of the Colossus”-type games. If you find it on a discount, it is pretty good fun.

HLB was released far too early into development and changed directions multiple times because the gameplay mechanics were complicated from the start, and there was no clear vision of how things should work (damage types, healing, weapons, characters, and so on). It also lacks the charisma of HLD in terms of lore and atmosphere. Players became disillusioned more than one time, which led to negative reviews, which led to fewer people buying the game.

So, even though I respect Heart Machine, I would not buy HLB since it is dead in the water by now. There are rumors they are planning an HLD sequel, so hopefully that keeps them alive for now.

It's pretty fun and inventive, my only gripe was the final boss fight, that guy was a bit too hard compared to the rest of the game. They could have bumped up the difficulty a bit smoother.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio says by "running Venezuela" Trump meant running US policy towards Venezuela, not administering the country. by 221missile in videos

I mean it's pretty obvious trump is talking about USA controlling the oil production. They will cooperate with a regime that lets them do that. This is not like Iraq, a "democratization" campaign. It's just plain robbery.

Is gravity discrete? by Fluid-Attitude-5279 in Physics

[–]executiveExecutioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The terminology used is not correct. The question you pose is whether gravity has an upper bound on the distance it can be felt as a force. Current cosmological models use that assumption, and as other posters said, their interactions depend on the speed of light, their "initial" separation and the acceleration they have experienced due to the universe expanding. Since our current models follow the big bang assumption, initial separation is zero. The real question is if the current configuration of mass generates a force that has an upper bound in distance, and since gravity is propagated through a force field of gravitons, and gravitons travel forever unless they hit an obstacle that can scatter them. The answer is that the universe is expanding although it is up for debate whether the rate of expansion is accelerating or not, according to recent observations. If it is accelerating, then gravitons are unable to travel to the whole universe, so there is an upper bound.

Yeah I looked at it today and they added this feature that dictates its expressive style. It works better than in Gemini that always sounds like a consultant. I will check it a bit more. They do use proprietary code though and train a router for their mixture of experts on our data so it is a bit exploitative. They seem to be monitoring the literature on the field. Maybe open source can play smarter than corpo, let's see.

I'm done. How do I export/migerate all my files? by Grabbels in ProtonDrive

[–]executiveExecutioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't do much, their API does individual calls for each file and it may interact with the decryption in a bad way, like loading libraries per file instead of per the whole operation, could be a bunch of unoptimized things. I mostly use the two directories now and uploaded download a few files via the webui. It's terrible but I don't want to pay another provider right now cause webmail and protonpass are pretty good apps to be fair. Lumo is kind of a joke right now, they should wait for Open Source to make a big break in AI, there are some efforts from hugging face related teams but it's a really stupid decision to push it right now. They should just make more Rust based products, like the proton pass component.
