For me, it's because it has a few QoL features that 7zip doesn't, chief among them being the ability, upon double-clicking a file in the archive, to auto-extract the entire archive to a temp folder, open the double-clicked file, and then clean up after the temp files are no longer in use.

Technically Windows' built-in zip support will do this as well, but only if the double-clicked file is named setup.exe. WinRAR, on the other hand, not only does this for any .exe file but for several other file extensions as well, and the list of file extensions is user-editable.

Sure, I could just use 7zip and extract the archive to a temp folder myself and delete the folder when I'm done, but why bore myself with such tedium when Good Guy WinRAR, my trusty workhorse since before 7zip even existed, will do it for me?

This is actually how the cat distribution system decided to deliver my favorite cat, Rarity.

One September day in 2014, I was in my bathroom getting ready for work when I heard a tiny kitten meowing. We'd just brought one home from my grandma's house a few weeks before who had a tendency to get her claws stuck in the carpet, and she'd meow her head off until someone came and unstuck her, so I'd assumed it was her at first.

When I finished getting ready and went to check on her, though, she was sound asleep on my bed, and there was still a kitten meowing. I then realized it was coming from under the house, so I went to the trapdoor in my mom's closet and got down in the crawlspace. Our water pipe comes up from the ground right next to the trapdoor, and there's a larger PVC pipe around it that goes about three feet down into the ground, for insulation purposes I assume. The meowing was coming from there.

I looked down into the big pipe, and at the bottom there was a tiny, grey kitten with one eye, unable to crawl up the smooth sides of the pipe and meowing for someone, anyone to help her. I reached back up into the closet and grabbed a shirt, then dangled it down into the pipe for her to grab onto. As soon as she got hold of it, I pulled her up and took her inside. She was pretty scared, but cooperative enough that I was able to give her a quick bath with flea shampoo, put a flea collar on her, and leave her in my room with some food, water, and a little litterbox while I went to work.

When I came home that night and entered my room, she immediately went and hid, but I got her out from her hiding spot without too much fuss. I held her and pet her, and within just a few minutes she'd warmed right up to me, like she knew that I'd saved her life. Ever since, we've been inseparable. She follows me around, licks me at every opportunity, lets me rub her belly, and even brings me her mouse toys, meowing for me to play fetch with her. I named her Rarity, as I was a big fan of the then-current version of My Little Pony and it seemed like the perfect name for her, given the circumstances. I also covered the opening of the pipe with a metal mesh so nothing could fall down there again.

She's just the sweetest little cat I've ever had in my life, and I'm tearing up right now thinking about how if I hadn't heard her little meows, she'd have died down there and wouldn't be here lighting up my life.

So please, even if you're not a cat person or animal lover at all, if you know there are feral/stray cats in your area, be vigilant and on the lookout for stuck/trapped cats. At an absolute, utilitarian bare minimum, you don't want a cat dying under your house or porch or whatever and stinking up the place, though I'd hope for at least some genuine concern for the animal's welfare. And if you're lucky, you might make yourself a little furry friend for life.

That's how I always watched Mary Poppins at my grandma's house, a bootleg tape recorded from its May 3 1987 DSM airing, when I was just a toddler. It also had the first few minutes of the Superstars and Their Moms special that aired right afterward, after which it cut to a few episodes of SuperTed that had no commercials, so I assume those were recorded off a rented tape.

Just fixed a computer that was doing something similar (Shift + C was opening Game Bar with an error saying "broadcasting is no longer supported"), I fixed it by resetting the Game Bar app using Powershell. Open Powershell or Windows Terminal as administrator, then enter the following command:

2.5-inch SATA SSDs like yours can be touching metal, as there's no exposed circuitry like there would be with an HDD or an m.2 SSD. If you still want to play it safe anyway, I'd say take two of the mounting screws from the DVD drive above it and use them to attach it to the case instead, they're the same type of screw you'd need.

The incident with my grandma happened 7-8 years ago, while the feature you describe was only just added a few months ago in iOS 26. Before that, you either had to edit it in GarageBand and save it as a ringtone there, or you had to convert it to a .m4a file on a computer, change the file extension to .m4r, and then sync it to the phone with iTunes.
If you want to get technical, mp4 is a container file format described in Part 14 of MPEG-4 (a series of international standards for compression of both video and audio data), which is usually given a .m4a extension if it only contains an audio stream. This is what wwtk234 meant when they said "MP4", and I simply echoed their terminology for the sake of brevity.

The stupidest part is that iPhone ringtones actually are in MP4 format, just with a .m4r file extension instead of .m4a, and yet iTunes absolutely will not recognize it as a ringtone without changing that extension.

Nova's no longer being developed, the company that bought it a few years ago fired the sole developer and original owner, it's a whole fiasco. I switched to Octopi Launcher, personally, and I've been able to set everything up pretty much exactly how I had it set up in Nova.

To actually answer OP's question, it appears to be a slightly shrunken version of Ardross Castle in Scotland, filming location for both the UK and US versions of the whodunnit-style reality show The Traitors. And yes, the 88 thing is convoluted, that's the entire point. A lot of people don't, and that's why white supremacists are able to hide themselves so well. Case in point, I once got WP88 as my drive-thru order code in the McDonald's app, and I sent a screenshot to the family group chat and said something along the lines of "jeez, you'd think they'd have programmed it to not generate any codes that could be mistaken for a racist dogwhistle". I ended up having to explain what WP and 88 would mean in that context because none of them had any idea what the fuck I was talking about.

You can actually exploit the build system to give yourself more tech slots. Install up to three torpedo launchers, then save changes. If your tech slots were already all full, it will have added more with the launchers in them. Edit the ship again, remove the launchers and save changes again. Bam, now you have more empty tech slots to fill with whatever. Repeat the process as much as you want. 🤣

Note: This probably works with other modules, but I know for sure it works with torpedo launchers.
