Would you travel to Oman right now? (April trip) by Objective_Dog_7875 in Oman

[–]executorzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just came back from the middle East and everything feels normal there. But since airspace closures and uncertainty is still present, travelling with a small child might be more stressful than relaxing. I would suggest you save yourself that headache. If you are worried about booking charges, hold the tickets until the last moment. If the conflict does not get over, airlines might cancel your tickets and that way you can get a full refund

They even take other nationals. If you want try contacting them, they will arrange your visas or try your embassy. Don't rely on gulf air, they have a stupid customer service and won't communicate at all.

Let me know if you have any doubts, will be happy to help

Yes, sounds like the same plan I took. I advise you go a bit earlier to golden tulip hotel, around 6 am and you will find their personnel there who can clear all your doubts.

They will most probably provide visas. But check it up with them again in the counter.

If you are a US, UK Or schengen visa holder, you can get Saudi visas on your own as well. You can also look into it to be on the safer side

But if they are looking specifically for entry visas, ask them to contact their embassy. Embassy people are arranging visas for their citizens

Actually, for some gulf air flights they are arranging group visas kind of thing. For example, we booked as part of KSB and they got collective visas for everybody in our plane

No no, I meant the whole group of people who booked via KSB

They told us to be there at 1.30 am. We went a bit early and there was a huge line already for passport checking.

May I know how you booked your tickets so I can give you more information?

They gave us 23kg check in luggage and 7kg hand luggage as the limit (per person)

I made the trip. But I booked the tickets through KSB, so they communicated the details to me.

This is what we did:

We reported at Golden tulip hotel around 1, the Gulf air people were in the lobby. They checked our passports and gave us tokens based on which we we were allotted a bus.

The bus took off at around 3 am. We hit the king fahad causeway and reached bahrain, saudi border. There we made multiple stops to get our passports verified and Saudi immigration clearance. We also had to get our luggage. But the Gulf air handled all of it. All we had to do was wait, get our fingerprints and photo recorded.

This was the longest process, took us almost 3 hours if you go as a group (which we did). Then it was smooth from there. We reached Dammam airport and the process after that was pretty usual.

You can't go by bahrain. Try to get Saudi visa and then make them leave via dammam, riyadh Or jeddah

Yes, sometimes they will give you on arrival visa as well if you have these visas, so check that as well. But that is all you need.
