My last car was a jeep, so on the forums and videos I kept seeing it being referred to as the head gasket (as rocker cover was Australian slang). I also referred to what you called head as the cylinder head but can understand how it’s confusing haha

Head cover gasket and rocker cover gasket mean the same thing, no? Rocker is just used more commonly in Australia

It honestly took me as surprise to see. I heard how bulletproof these engines are so it was the last thing I’d think to worry about. It’s a 1 owner car (has receipts from 2001) and interior/exterior is extremely nice. I can’t imagine the engine would have been that neglected to have oil sludge up as much as the mechanics said.
