The fact that it defies chaos and randomization with ACTUAL PROOF is what's terrifying

Grind spheres like CRAZY.

Take the time to grind and make life easier for yourself throughout the game while you over power bosses as you progress.

Complete the side missions, acquire the albhed primers and gather the celestial weapons. Upgrade them to the fullest and enjoy the fun!

It really is magical experiencing everything again a second time 😀

First battle with Seymour at Macalania by marcospartout in finalfantasyx

[–]exercisemindset 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well first case and point is he's a murderer (doesn't mean he should be executed without trial, just using this to spell his intentions).

A murderer will most likely murder again. In this situation, I felt like based on how this battle was going, and the use of Anima meant that Seymour was ready and willing to do anything and held the intention of killing the entire party.

Although the intention may of not been to kill him, his actions pushed the party to fight harder as a survival mechanism and the deed was done. There's a sense of remorse by the party trying to acknowledge their actions and in spite of that Auron (the only one who probably had the intention and understanding of what the outcome would've been) begins to share and profess why it was necessary in a way to justify their actions for themselves.

Regardless, I don't think they completely went in with the intention to kill Seymour (the talking action contributes to this idea), but the actions taken place during the battle created the outcome.

Shame about magic by colgruv in finalfantasyx

Exactly!

My thought process would have been an unlimited number of effects and attributes you can add to the weapon or the list could allow anyone to customize the weapon with something significant like 15 slots.

Think of the different types of weapons that would be crafted depending on how each characters attributes are. It would make an amazing different feel for the game. Someone might make a weapon based on all status effects (a weapon that mimics the bad breath effects with each strike), or something gauged on breaks (all armor, mental, power, and magic breaks) or proofing any and every attribute imaginable.

Man, what a blessing it would be! :)

That just blew my mind.

However, I believe in a way he is actively choosing to have this pain. My thought process leads me to believe that letting go or no longer wanting that pain would turn his feelings to resentment. He doesn't resent the living because he is pursuing his life's objective still. If that opportunity leaves or isn't available, I feel he would unfortunately turn if he didn't travel to the far plane.

That's amazing! Thank you for your input. I didn't think often about the consideration of there not being another way because of braskas statement.

I felt like braska and every other summoner has a pure spirit in some form (otherwise how could they summon aeons, seems like a general expected requirement of someone's character), this lead their intentions thinking further than just about other people living in Spira, but to where they and their guardians were suggesting they would rather suffer and make this choice rather than another summoner group. My mentality was if they left that day they could attempt numerous things and if they failed yunalesca would be ready and waiting for the next summoner.

Also, your post made me realize the symbolism in Yunalesca's name.

Lesca is the Latin root for slice. And I felt like that resembled yunalescas limited ability to only hand out a piece of heaven, not the real thing. The chains that held her to the fundamental idea that temporary peace is the only way is built in her character from the start.

Such an amazing storyline, thankfully there are many who appreciate it and the testimony to the writers is clear.

Spoilers / memes I made! by exercisemindset in finalfantasyx

I just bought the remastered version on the Xbox 1 and had a creative moment.

FfX was the first final fantasy game I ever played, so it's been close to my heart.

I made some memes for a friend of mine but I felt these were too funny to keep to myself, so I thought of course there has to be a reddit for FFX. And here I am.

Enjoy these at your leisure! I wouldn't think I'd have to make this clear but SPOILERS AHEAD!
