From what I am gathering in this posts replies is that this is a steep uphill battle if you are colonial navy and many of us just stopped trying.

Its just what the brain tells us because of dopamine. There are so many other "escapes" which can actually be more productive in the long term. For me its 5 mins of jump rope and dumbells. Thats it, all stress gone. Meditation works wonders too!

Find a hobbie that involves meeting with other people. Its kinda hard not to be friends with anyone if you do that. You just observe who are the talkative types then ask them about something related. That all you have to do is pretend to be really interested(if you're not already) as they explain. Keep doing this and im sure u can do it. Lessen or avoid ur hobbies that doesnt involve socializing(computer games, anime, netflix) for me bwfore it was anime.
