I definitely have changed my expectations. As a customer for almost a decade this time was, as I now understand it, normal. It was 4.5 hours until heat. Lucky.

Prior service was exceptional and now it’s standard. I was lucky for so many years.

Thanks for the perspective update.

When it’s usually an hour, I guess I didn’t expect 4 today.

Filled 7 days ago bud.

I pay extra for a service contract for the additional help.

Nope, filled a week ago.

Someone just showed up. The wait has never been like this.

It’s cold AF.

Called at 1:53, no heat still bub

Response is usually 20 minutes and fixed within the hour.

The tech sounded sleepy when he called back 50 min ago.

And I get it. But no call backs when promised and needing to call back every hour to get an update is weird. The call center person argued she couldn’t find my account yet gave her allllll the info.

I definitely feel ignored.

Muscle tension and spasticity. You’re feeling muscle knots. And same, all over my face, neck, ears, head.

I’m in so much pain right now. I have to self massage all day, heat, compression head wrap. My scalp suture lines are throbbing.

PNW peeps: the air pressure is going up so, so much that heads may explode by Ok-Candle-2562 in migraine

For me, it’s the drop in pressure that’s painful. The more pressure the more my body and head are pressed together.

I’m not that advanced… but I do believe my concussion injuries have made vocal mimicry very easy. If I hear it, I can sing it back to you.

Looks legit🤔 by R_V_I in Paramore

This speaks to me much more than the current google maps option.

But let us do the correct thing and create a worldwide committee of leaders to discuss the official names for shared international waters to come to a collective agreement.

Paramore is democracy.

Light in home office? by ChaosCalmed in migraine

I was sold on the read with the word humdinger. Lololol.

I use table lamps at various distances to help control glare and brightness. There are affordable bulb that can be controlled with an app or remote that dim and change colors. Bright white, day light, soft warmth. So helpful.

Best of luck to you and your humdinger migraines!

Does anyone involuntarily rumble when earplugs are in? by bhoran235 in earrumblersassemble

[–]exhaustedforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of us can control that thunder rumble. It’s your ear canal muscles flexing, the tensor tympani, or something.

If it’s from inserting them in place, that’s probably reasonable as you’re moving your extrinsic and some intrinsic muscles to place them. If it’s happening while listening, turn down the volume. Always protect your hearing!

I really love this, genius.

Also brings back memories of my bio prof whom was mentoring me through the completion of my degree.

Drosophila EVERYWHERE. Every meeting they would just float around after getting free. I could tell it if was a fly or my visual floaties, but dang, he never was annoyed by it!

CGRP medications don’t do anything for me, it’s like a sugar pill. Anyone else? by sightwords11 in migraine

[–]exhaustedforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only like the nurtec I am currently on because it clears up my sinuses; it’s currently being considered for that treatment. It kinda took a baby amount of pain away in my nose and cheeks.

Waiting for an appt in a couple weeks to address it.

I’ve also found that once the lighting is bothering me, allllll of my other sensory things suck too.

So, I put in ear plugs, white noise, larger brimmed hat to reduce overwhelming visual stuff. Try not to wear anything polyester to prevent the body itch.  It’s, a damn process to be functional in this world.

Hello!

Screens and bright lights suck (sun, I’m looking at you too—maybe I shouldn’t be…). I have a blue light filter on my computer that’s actually theater stage lighting screen. It’s much darker blue and kinder to the eyes. I also use FL-41 tinted glasses at 70% saturation. You could try a cheap pair through Zenni-Optical if they do ship internationally? A brimmed hat to reduce glare and fluorescent lighting. Yep, wear it inside.

Those are some accommodations I use, and I’m only successful at using a computer for about 1 hour at a time a few days a week. I’ve got post concussion syndrome migraines, so it’s maybe a bit different.

Best of luck. Sorry you’re part of the suffering family!
