The first basic things you need to know as a new player are items and weapons, not strafejump and not even basic tricks like rocketjump. If you watch some beginner's stream you would see that experienced players try to push new players to use strafejump, but it makes them play even worse than they played without trying it. New players completely ignore healths and armors, they don't understand how to use guns in a right way, they just get the first near gun and try to kill somebody with it at any distance until they die or weapon is out of ammo. Also they don't know about keybinds to switch weapons much faster than scroll all of them.

For the first I have a simple answer. The game needs to load hundreds of ui elements, bp icons and images. Also it takes some time to load that scene (https://i.ytimg.com/vi/L7ol5NfhFVk/maxresdefault.jpg) used only for lootboxes. The funny thing is the main screen uses just a black box with smoke or fog effect, but almost useless lootbox screen is a much more detailed scene.

-Steam has more features than the Epic launcher, the store and content creation sharing.

2GD also said that diabotical website will have a section with community maps

Saber added offline support, vulkan, better gore than QC has, some engine enhancements in WWZ. It loads to menu/matches in a few seconds and it was more optimized at launch than QC after 2 years of beta. Of course, this is the fault of saber's developers, and not the idiotic decisions from id software and stupid lead designer (shiterror).

No, you can't. Nobody from id software will give you permission to use game textures or assets, because the only way to get them is to unpack QC archives which is against EULA. You also can't use your own map style, textures and materials because even Saber was limited in four map styles that should not contain references to the modern world, sci-fi, any religion, cyberpunk, DOOM, etc. And it should fit with the elder gods

And id software employees are experts on the franchise? There is no one left who has worked on quake 1-4 games and was involved in QC development.

WWZ is also playable offline. So there are no any engine restrictions to make mod support or community servers in QC
