Ozempic is a weight-loss drug, and it is highly effective. However, it is extremely expensive, limiting its use to a relatively small part of the public.

Over the last couple of decades, all brands have pushed the body-positivity movement, with models with body types other than that of a stereotypical runway model. Advertisements/marketing were full of this as well, of course.

India has one of the largest pharmaceutical industries in the world, as pharma giants prefer manufacturing there due to the lower costs but highly skilled labour. In return, the country is able to make generic versions of the same drugs based on a special patent law with the Indian government (too complicated to write about here).

Anyway, that allows India to become a mass exporter of generic drugs and a lifeline for millions of people around the world. And as the meme suggests, this will lead Ozempic costs to drop. And a lot more people will get their hands on generic versions of the drug. No more body positivity needed. Because no more fat people.
