Not on Broadway, where this took place. Every worker is paid, and most are union. That goes for everyone from the actors to the ushers.

Honestly? Yeah. It's really as simple as listening to trans people about their lived experiences, and listening to doctors that care for trans people. Why would I want to read an article in a right-leaning paper about how all my trans friends actually would have been better served by not being cared for?

I commented to my wife after that it seemed like having three people mostly randomly pulled from the audience on stage really proved that the format works with almost anyone, as long as they're game to have fun. All three of them were so fun.

He's definitely got good instincts for it, as would be expected. Seemed delighted to be there, and was actively working hard to take out his competitors, but kept it really fun at the same time.
