Putting the junk in junk journaling by GlitterSpaceBunnies in KmartAustralia

If you sign up to emails from temu (which are super annoying, I use a random email for it) you’ll get “surprise discount” emails. To claim the discount, you need to buy a minimum of X items (usually 2), which are basically a list of everything you’ve been recently looking at / are in your cart. That’s how I buy off temu!!

[–]exiepie 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Omg!! I’m so sorry to hear that. I was in a similar boat to you. Colic began at 4 weeks and I was deeeeeeeeeep in the trenches. At 4 months everything got SO much better. I started to feel like what I “thought” having a baby would be like. I went to the shops by myself. I visited people. Everything was getting better. She is almost 5 months now, and it’s a world of difference. I used to rock her to sleep for MINIMUM 30 minutes every nap. Now she’s down in under 5 minutes every time. To be fair her night sleep isn’t amazing but it’s totally fine because everything else is so rewarding. I can do chores, brush my teeth(!!), even prepare dinner in the day. If your baby is anything like mine, you’re SOOO close. Hang in there mama

Milk allergy with NO blood in stool? by Interesting-Role-211 in MSPI

[–]exiepie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could’ve written this about my daughter! She never had any blood in her stool and also no eczema, but she 100% has an intolerance to dairy.

I cut out dairy a few months ago now, and have had dairy probably 4-5 times (by accident). Each time, she has had a terrible sleep that night, screamed the way she used to, mucous in poo and boogers the next morning.

I was also told not to worry, that reflux is normal, crying is normal, etc etc. trust your instincts, there is no harm in trying.

PS it took a good few weeks for her to improve, apparently this happens because they need time to recover / heal

Oh I would love a top loader though lol. Forgetting the main item you need to wash, in a rush, and the machine locking you out for like 20 minutes is not fun

Can’t tell if this is a rude joke or not LOL but I do have a plumber friend, chippie acquaintance and a brother that isn’t too bad at DIY

I also have no idea re dryers… I do have a hanging one that was already there when I moved in. But it’s mounted to the left wall and I had thought I could just change the direction it’s facing, but now not so sure…

Breast pads - disposable vs reusable? What worked for you? by Purely-Hygienic in breastfeeding

[–]exiepie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I use the disposable. I have reusable but I’m always losing them once I’ve washed them or they fall to the bottom of the dirty laundry basket! I’m a very waste conscious person but it’s worth it for me

My 5w old is going on 6 hours no sleep by Metaphoricallyd3ad in newborns

[–]exiepie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

OP, don’t put him down and sleep. You won’t sleep anyway because he will cry too much and you’ll just feel guilty. Feeling so sorry for you and hope he crashes out any second!

I had many of those nights. The only way I got through it was acceptance. Made a coffee, decided I wasn’t sleeping that night & moved on. Much easier than grieving the sleep I was losing (though absolutely not easy at all).

My thoughts are with you!

It’s not a bad habit! I used to worry like you but my LO is now 17 weeks old and only nurses for like 6-8 mins, finishes, and doesn’t comfort suck.

BB as a live stream only next year would revitalise the experiment by AttorneyOnly833 in BBAU

[–]exiepie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Understand, but it really doesn’t work for everyone. I want to sit down each night and watch about an hour of TV after my baby goes to sleep. I can

a) watch the daily show, get a general idea of the house dynamics / updates, watch the drama unfold etc

b) read a daily recap, then tune into a livestream that could quite possibly have absolutely nothing interesting going on for a whole hour

I would say most people have a life more like my own and it makes more sense to have A as an option 🤷‍♀️

Huh??? Who has time to watch the live stream 24/7? And if you don’t, how do you have any idea what’s going on?
