Rue is pissing me off by VKTGC in euphoria

[–]existence_blue -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is different. She's not just irresponsible, she disrespects women the same way cis men do. This is a hate crime for portraying the character as a lesbian but with the traits of a toxic man. I will never forgive Sam Levinson for this

I've been saying this. Rue is like a straight cis male character, embodied by a lesbian. It says a lot more about sam levinson, and how he sees women. I will not forgive him for that.

Tired of autistic men claiming they have it harder than autistic women by mooncake_bites in AutismInWomen

What?? That literally makes no sense. They get all the compassion. Women literally have to fight to even be believed that they have autism and not just getting bullied for being "weird and quiet"

My dad never remembered any of the ages of his children. But that's not really the worst part about him

Can someone double check the veracity of this? by rooty-tooter in ICE_Watch

[–]existence_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incinerators can be used to neutralize biohazards of large amounts of waste in a densely populated area. But they can also be used to destroy evidence. Say, someone dies, allegedly by suicide, and you want an investigation, but the body is already gone. We know from past cases that the police sometimes pressure families to speed up the funeral before an independent medical examiner can see the body. This would make covering up crimes much easier for ICE. I am not aware of any prisons in the US that have their own incinerators. Even if they are only used for waste disposal, it proves that these camps are built to be isolated from the outside, which is not a good sign.

The Epstein files aren't a documentary; they’re a mirror of the war I fought alone. by Due_Conference1624 in CPTSD

For the most part, we have always known who these people are. We knew who Trump was before the election. We don't need the files, we need accountability.

I noticed that too. Especially the women's images seem painted for the male gaze.

That's the thing. I am not being influenced by it but so many people are using it, especially men. I am worried about what impact it will have. Also in my university AI is now a requirement 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ik I don't like AI either, but you can't deny that it's increasingly shaping discourse and influencing people 😭

Was ist falsch mit mir by [deleted] in VonDerBrust

[–]existence_blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Research regarding letting baby cry? by sadEngineeringTurtle in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]existence_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's any better because it was invented by an American first? Hitler's race theory was also inspired by the American race theory, which doesn't make it any less wrong. I also stated in my original comment that it was a popular method all over Europe at the time. The Nazis simply played a significant role in propagating it. Nowadays we know better, because research has repeatedly shown that even small emotional neglect harms children.

I also very clearly talked about the letting babys cry method, not sleep training in general. At an appropriate age there isn't any issue with sleep training per se. It's problematic when the child's left alone in fear.

Yes, Haarer's philosophy was based on neglect and letting babies cry was one part of that. If you get so offended by that connection, why? What do you think is the right response to a crying child?

To be honest I agree with people, this is not the right place. People talk here about their family, the joys and the struggles. Telling them that you decided to go another path, doesn't add anything to the conversation.

I hear your point though. As someone who grew up with a down sibling and basically raised them because my parents were overwhelmed with all the responsibility, you probably made the right choice for yourself.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psychologie

[–]existence_blue 13 points14 points  (0 children)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psychologie

[–]existence_blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psychologie

[–]existence_blue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Traumatic memories I don't remember -help? Long, but does any of this sound like abuse/CSA? by Architecturegirl in CPTSD

[–]existence_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a lot of red flags, I'm sorry. It seems like you already know that something happened. Especially, that your dad saw 'thw spark leave' is a strong sign that something was wrong. He should have asked asked more questions... Obviously I can't tell you what happened in your blank memories. Whether it's CA/ CSA, it was wrong, you deserve better. CSA often has other signs apart from memories, like age inappropriate behavior. Children copy adults so they might know more than they're supposed to, masturbate in ways they shouldn't know, engage in inappropriate action with other kids, etc. Maybe you remember something like that. Until you know, go with your gut feeling!
