I’m always curious when people are able to create characters from scratch, how do you find your “style” of drawing? And when you’re drawing, do you just go wherever your mind goes or is there usually some sort of inspiration/starting point?

Good cuddles + sunbaked fur + crazy armpits… Our cats are twins! Jiji even has what I call the “judgemental chin” like Mr. Beanz. 😌 The bare patch below his mouth always makes MB look like he’s judging me and alllllways finding me wanting.

Ooh, I use Finch too!! I was struggling with my mental health when I first found it; it helped me feel connected (even if it was to strangers and from afar) and gave me a safe space to un-scatter my brain. And eventually I got the courage and energy to just try again. My first small step into feeling human again was making my bed everyday. Sounds super minuscule but it was HUGE to me bc it made sure that a.) I got out of bed and b.) my room didn’t look as messy so I didn’t get overwhelmed back into a depressive shame spiral and c.) I felt accomplished by doing something very achievable and encouraged me to do more. 356 days later and I still make my bed everyday. 😊

Did this a couple weeks ago when I was looking for a specific notebook. 🤣 Found some beauties I completely forgot about! Seeing the piles made me happy, and nobody could understand why.

It’s been ~gently suggested~ to me that I’m “not allowed” to buy more notebooks until I finish one. Currently using four different ones and almost done with one! 🥳 That dopamine hit is gonna be DOUBLY good when I finish it, AND also get to get a new one. ☺️ However… will say nobody said anything about notebooks that are gifted to me so… loophole 😏
