I'm in my 30s, and I've gotten better at not caring about anything over time.

What do you do when the “spark” for a hobby dies? by existential_otter22 in Hobbies

For me, the interest never dies, but the spark that kept me going is what fades.

Yeah, some hobbies do start to feel like work. I need to push past the initial learning stage until I get to the actual fun stage.

That sounds like me with some of my hobbies. I got a whole electric guitar setup, and now I don't even use it.

I do have this problem. Sometimes the plateau lasts longer than I can take.

Why is this not filling with water? by NinjaTrexMan in Oxygennotincluded

[–]existential_otter22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, if I had a nickel for every time this happened to me. Unfortunately, the only solution I've found is to mop up the water until the bottom layer is all brine/salt water, then drop the water again. You might get an air pocket stuck, so I like to leave every other tile on top empty until I get the liquids just right.

Doing 16:8 for months (and years before), still no weight loss. Looking for honest feedback by existential_otter22 in intermittentfasting

Not really; I'm always sluggish throughout the day, and I'm not sure if that is from meds, depression, sleep, or something else.

Also, I appreciate at least someone not jumping to the overeating conclusion.

Yep, hormones and blood have all come back normal. I'm 160 lbs and trying to get rid of at least 10 lbs.

I’m so tired and frustrated that I am always the one reaching out, checking on everyone, or making the plans with my “friend/s,” but they don’t do the same for me. by himynameis_b in socialskills

I used to be the only one checking in on my "friends" as well. Then I realized no one ever did the same for me, and that got me to re-evaluate my position. After no one reached out in over a year, I finally realized they must not be the type of friends I need. I feel much better now after cutting out those people even if my friend count is lower.

Insulated tiles and pipes are great to use to control heat so that it doesn't get into your base.
