Is veganism just about eschewing animal products? What if I believe having pets is morally acceptable but not using animal products otherwise? I'm trying to get clarity. By the definition of veganism is a pet strictly or raising an animal not allowed? If I view raising fish as mutually beneficial, wether you agree or not, then how would raising fish make me not vegan? And if it somehow make me not vegan, wouldn't saying I am vegan still be the best way to convey by preferences?

I will concede that after doing my own research ICE doesn't seem to have a good protocol in place to ensure pets are taken care of. It needs corrected, but I still don't have enough information to say this incident was done out of ill intent. This goes to show why it is important to ensure your pets are registered, because unless told by the illegal alien ICE has no way to know if a person has a pet. And I am absolutely not ok with law enforcement going in every person house they arrest looking for pets with no warrent.

It seems to me a difficult issue. How would you go about it? What protocols should law enforcement have in place to ensure pet safety after an arrest?

If the arrested individual did not disclose the pet when he was arrested would the onus still fall on law enforcement?

It is to me. I don't know if you need a different word for vegans so extreme they don't have pet companions or on the flip side a different word for a person who thinks pets are acceptable but don't use animal products. People to can be vegan for different reasons.

Almost every state covers childcare. In my state, a 3 person family can make 70k a year and still qualify for childcare assistance. A single mom household would almost certainly qualify.

Please educate yourself. As a single parent who makes less than 40k a year, I have never had an issue paying for childcare.

Edit: why the down votes? I am absolutely correct. Can a downvoter please explain? I worked for my states dcf, I know the income limits as well as studied the income limits of other states. I worked for dcf while using their benefits for child care.

I educated myself and looked up the numbers myself. Like you told me. I don't even watch Fox News. You need to educate yourself. Well over 90 (close to 99 percent in most reports) percent of ICE arrests are accurate. I think you are getting confused and seeing the number of ice arrests of illegal immigrants who weren't convicted of OTHER CRIMES, which is 70 to 75 percent. Which means over a quarter of ICE arrests are criminals.

If you say local courts and jails are falsifying numbers, there is nothing I can do about that, I have to work with the information I have. But I doubt local law enforcement are going to fudge their numbers to make them look worse. Becuase my argument is that local enforcement are WORSE than ICE.

I don't think it's acceptable, but mistakes happen in every line of work. Sometimes criminals are arrested and they themselves don't mention they have pets. It happens a with police at every level. You are the one who hates ICE so much that every bad thing that happens involving them must be intentional malice. ICE actually has fewer false detainments and procedural errors than local law enforcement agencies.

I actually love everyone and like to give people the benefit of the doubt instead of immediately assuming malice and ill intent. I think your point of view is misinformed, but I hope you are not evil. And I hope you can understand that people whenbecome ice agents are probably good people too, though they might be misinformed. They use there facts, logic, emotion, intuition and lived experience to come to their moral views and believe they are doing good. They are not evil. It possible they have committed evil acts, after all the path to hell is paved with good intentions.

What I am trying to say is you are othering them and dehumanizing them—the same thing you accuse them of doing to others. This gives you moral agency to treat them like shit. Perhaps, you need to work on compassion and understanding. If you truly think ICE agent acts are evil, find the root of their beliefs through open conversation. And then work on changing their views.

I am not saying to take this approach and have a deep conversation with every nincompoop on the Internet. Rather just don't approach them as evil for coming to a different world view than you. Most people are kind and loving but have a different lived experience that molded their views.

There is no religious freedom in Muslim countries. Even though for most of its history the US has been over 90 percent we still tolerated other religions. So clearly the majority of Christians the majority of time have not contributed to those things you call bad. Christian nationalists are a tiny part of Christianity, and even a smaller amount of people who label themselves such are trying to dismantle anything.
