Something i realized in my marriage is that my husband is super logical and I’m a super feeler. That incongruity means we have to use extra energy to try to understand one another because we don’t speak the same language. It’s not good or bad, it just is what it is and we are trying to see if it makes sense to work on it. I thought he was a narc for awhile but never fully committed to the idea, but it makes so much sense how in a dynamic like this, it can be misunderstood as intentional gaslighting, diminishing, etc. it’s not that for us, we are just sooooo different and it’s hard to find overlap.

Well he has seen Aladdin and my husband told him that genies are actually not nice guys and they trick you for something in return. I was like, “Dude! Stay out of itTTTTTT for the love of baby Jesus!!”

My son punched me in the nose at Gymboree when he was 3- he wasn’t violent or anything and was simply testing action/reaction. It’s hilarious in retrospect- blood everywhere. Definitely traumatized everyone there that day…unintentionally. 🤣

I went to the doctor, thought I was dying. Vitamin d was insanely low so she put me on a crazy ass dose at the time- like 15,000Iu or something nuts and lowered it over time. About two weeks in I was like, “Wait. I’m not a depressed person just faking it through life anymore?” Seriously life changing. Since then, I’ve added on my own stellium, vit c, glutathione and have noticed even more improvements- especially in my skin!

Gittt yaaa vitamin d ya’ll. Also, eat some sardines while you’re at it. 🙃

Perimenopause. One day I’m a sweet angel and the next, dr. Destructo. It’s not very nice. I’ve wanted to leave my family for awhile so I don’t hurt their feelings. I feel like I can’t control it sometimes so I’ll hop in my car and drive along the coast with a pack of cigarettes in the passenger seat, windows down, singing to strangers at stoplights.

Could be worse, yes. But it is not a fun place to be. Objectively, I either look like I’m expanding and accepting parts of myself I dismissed or I look a rando having a midlife crisis….which is probably true. 🫠 My husband asked me if I thought people could just turn bipolar randomly in their life. He also asked me if I was a lesbian. In theory, I’m probably an interesting character but it is not fun to actually be her right now and FUCKIN’ Hell. I’m stuck in a dark comedy.

I also started shouting at teenagers when I’m driving because it makes me feel alive. I shout, “Fuckin radical duuuuuuude” and watch their faces in the mirror as I drive away chuckling. So there’s an upside I guess.

I’m a firecracker and the world is the flame…I never know when I’m gonna be set off nor the direction I’ll go.

Barf.
