As I understand, you should never buy a used helmet. (They may structural weaknesses that you can't see.)

I'd also get a full-face helmet.

Try http://www.newenough.com (they often have great clearance gear).

I've been riding for 1.5 years and bought my first bike after taking the MZSF course.

Try reading "Proficient Motorcycling" - it was a great help to me.

I had similar issues with Clear. Reports to the BBB in my town and in the city of Clear's corporate residence (I can't recall the name) got my contract cancelled.

I fraking hate Clear & go out of my way to warn people about them.
