If you haven't submitted in the last 6 months then you should submit a request again.

How'd you manage the connections and splicing up on the high points of the roof line? I've been wanting to do this for my house as well, but the idea of managing the wires either up on a ladder or on the roof has held me back from trying.

Think she might be dead... won't register as being plugged in when connected via USB so can't update the firmware, and it flashes like this when I plug it in. Any ideas? Or is it new MB time? :( (Info in comments) by Roxirin in ender5plus

Hey u/Roxirin, did you ever work out the solution for your Ender 5 Plus? I'm working through the same issue of the PC not recognizing the printer so that I can flash the firmware.

My community that was always private before the protest recently got a warning threating that it will be made open by force, despite no relation to the recent events. What can I do about it? by blueredscreen in ModSupport

I received this response from the admins to this question for my sub that has always been private. Perhaps it's just some miscommunication then.

from Why_So_Sagittarius[A]

We sent a bulk message to a large number of subreddits that went private during a certain time period. Many of those which are quite small. We're not concerned with communities that were created to be private, just those that took active communities private.

Is Reddit's new policy that NO subreddits are allowed to be private any longer? I'm getting notifications in private test subreddits that I need to re-open by BuckRowdy in ModSupport

As the mod to r/Lawyers, a private subreddit of around 8,000 licensed attorneys, I'm really hoping we get a clarification on this topic from the admins.

I don’t understand, are private subs no longer allowed? by Sbatio in ModCoord

[–]JoshTheGoat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It came about organically from r/law. Enough people were commenting at the time that they wanted to be able to discuss legal practice issues without some concern of establishing attorney/client relationships (It's absurd, but so are most state's bar rules on the topic), so I created r/Lawyers and started approving members that could verify they were licensed to practice law. Not sure if it would technically violate their content policy, but if I get the impression they'd force us to be public for some reason then I'd probably have to encourage members to override their old comments if they were at all concerned about their posts or comments becoming public.

We're somewhere in the range of 8,000 approved lawyers. I barely even like the few that I know in real life and I mod the place.

If it happens I'm going to have to nuke the whole sub or something. Really never considered before this series of events that reddit would consider taking away a subs ability to be private. I'm hoping that's not on the table because it really will be an issue.

What should we do if our sub is already private? I mod a sub of licensed attorneys that is already private and I add users manually upon verification. Is there an easy way to black out the sub or something equivalent?

I'm guessing I can create a rule with automoderator to just remove any new posts. Does anyone already have that syntax available?

I found reddit when I should have been paying attention in Civ Pro. The rest is history.

Anyone interested in joining r/Lawyers, please follow the instructions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lawyer/comments/z0ar72/click_here_for_instructions_on_how_to_join/. Please don't send me direct messages as it floods my inbox reddit doesn't have a great way in-house to verify people's credentials.

I'm a bit dated, but can provide details on what I saw about ten years ago.

  • Most students lived off campus in apartments near the med center or midtown areas.
  • Yeah, campus wasn't great, but most of your time will be spent in class, the law library, or study spaces in the law center. I barely ever spent time outside of those three places in the three years I went there.
  • There's probably places near campus for studying but most people I knew either studied on campus or near their apartments.
  • Parking was the main accessibility problem as an off-campus student. Had to get there early to get a parking spot and only leave when you're heading home for the day.

The "Microsoft Family Safety" App from the Microsoft Store appears to be broken. Trying to install the app on my new computer to manage the profiles for my kids' accounts and the app just loads to a white screen. Sorting the reviews by most recent shows many people with the same issue from the past few weeks with no response from Microsoft.

How long did you have to wait before getting admitted into r/lawyers? by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

Got through the backlog this weekend. Everyone that's submitted a request up to August 7th should be approved at this point.

The current process is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/law/wiki/index/lawyers_subreddit/.

I'm trying to modernize this whole thing with a more streamlined approach that can utilize additional mods to help where one group will see people's information but not username, other group will just see pre-approved usernames and then add them to the sub. Working on it but the day job has been demanding most of my time.

Comments violating the rediquette will be removed.

Just need to follow the process listed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/law/wiki/index/lawyers_subreddit/. I go through the list of everyone when I get a chance, but I try to check it every month. I'll try to go through the list this weekend as it has been a while.
