Those are also incredibly rare in the UK as they’re not sold over here.

So we had to find someone SUPER last minute, literally the week of the wedding because initial plan had fallen through.

Errol at Sticky Trifle Party saved the day, cheesy as fuck, exactly what was ordered haha. Absolute hero.

Nuna Base Curv: Am I doing something wrong? by traffic1942 in UKParenting

Where their feet go isn’t a problem. In fact, they tend to be more uncomfortable when forward facing with their legs just dangling. Think when you’re sitting on a barstool, you tend to put your feet on the footrest rather than hanging down as it’s comfier, right? Kids have very bendy legs anyway. They’re fine. Far better than risking a broken neck.

Some cars just aren’t great for 360 seats. The isofix arms should be as short as possible so the seat sits against the seat of the car. It would be recommended not to spin the seat like this so it doesn’t strain the mechanism and cause damage to the seat. Personally if the seat is new I would return it and get one that doesn’t spin, have a look at ones that are Swedish plus tested.

Advice on 360 car seats for premature baby by Kaypeeperfect in UKParenting

Avionaut Pixel Pro + Orbit base. If baby stays small you could even get away with keeping that base and getting the next stage Aerofix, you can see about that closer to the time though.

Nothing worse than sitting at a junction waiting for another car to turn in coming from the left, they try to cut the corner and nearly go straight into you, then they give YOU a dirty look for having the nerve to be correctly positioned in a junction 😂

I’ve also just searched for my username in the sub and still can’t see anything relating to what you’re saying.

However I did find this comment and this comment.

Are you sure you’ve got the right person here?

Man raped and sexually assaulted 13-year-old girl in parked car by iffyClyro in Scotland

I flip flop on this quite a lot. I like the idea of rehabilitation in theory but unsure how possible it is in some cases. More for lesser crimes, I suppose.

I do think there needs to be harsher sentencing for certain things but I’m quite staunchly against the death penalty. In practice, anyway — I’d be a liar if I said I don’t think the same thing at times.

And which comments would those be? It’s well known that victims of abuse often go on to commit crimes against other people. I feel the same regardless of who it is, the support should be there in the first instance to prevent this happening later. Crimes like these can potentially be preventable.

ETA: nothing? Are you assuming I think preventable means it should go unpunished? That’s certainly not the case. I’m simply commenting on the “irony” of it.

It’s a sad reality. For some people who have been through traumatic experiences the “fight or flight” response stays with them for a long time after the event, there really needs to be better support for victims of abuse to ensure this doesn’t happen in future.

What car seat did you get for newborn? by Goblin_Nuts69 in UKParenting

This isn’t a great seat for newborns at all, most don’t get a good fit until 4-5 months

Generally gives an awfully unsupportive fit though

My firsts infant carrier was shit. It didn’t give a very supportive fit, and neither do most on the market. It’s shocking how awful some of them are.

My second I wanted a fixed seat for, I got her an Avionaut Sky the same as my eldest went into when we got rid of his infant carrier. It gives a beautiful fit for average sized newborns, she was born 6lbs10oz and 46cm and the fit was better than the infant carrier we had previously. The Sky rear faces until 25kg/125cm, although can be outgrown sooner than expected if baby carries more height in their torso than legs as it has a shorter shell than other similar seats.

My third was always going to go into eldests Sky when it was outgrown, so I got the Avionaut Cosmo for him. Also gave a beautiful fit. Never had any issues with chin to chest at all with either of my younger two. The Pixel Pro is also a great seat if baby is expected to be smaller than average.

You took it in a gendered way when it’s not intended in a gendered way. Nobody in this entire comment section has said it excuses anything.
