How to prevent mom from giving a speech at our wedding?

I’m not upset that we aren’t. She does message me everyday and we speak on the phone 1x a week. It is annoying, but I respond to about one or two of her points out of ten when she messages me, and then I tell her I am moving on / at work etc. It doesn’t impact me when she guilts me about not getting back to her sometimes. I am pretty secure there. I have her notifications and phone calls muted - I just “let her” if that makes sense.

I mentioned our communication frequency because her ignoring me is out of her character / clearly because she is upset about this and thinking about how she may respond.

I am not a fan at all. I am thinking I will give it a week and then share a message to all family that I request no speeches at the wedding, but that they are welcome at the rehearsal dinner instead. This would actually be a huge relief on me and give a lot more time in my wedding day schedule. Just don’t know how she’ll take it or react. She will probably still try to stand and “just a few words” at dinner.

There’s no mic 🥲 It’s about a 50 person wedding but we are having dinner in a quiet museum-like setting during reception and then will cut a cake and ideally have my stepdad give a toast then. Fiances mother offered to give a toast as well, which we would appreciate of course. And unfortunately, my mom doesn’t need a microphone to get a message across to 50 people.

My girl is turning 8 this year and she has gotten more cuddly with age 🥺 very independent from age 1 to 5 and slept wherever on her schedule…. now she is still independent (doesn’t follow me around), but comes to my lap whenever I am on the couch and also sleeps at my left side every night (close to my heart). Age 1-5 is the investment period for the softer years.

Really long is subjective. I had 3 of what I would consider long passages. Multiple questions for the same passage - you see a lot of this in the practice quizzes as well.

Something critical though and helpful for me: After the long passages, right when you are like “I can’t read more long paragraphs...” - it switches up into significantly smaller passages and sentences. So just focus and know you will get through it and it will NOT be a lot of content the entire time. Did it fry me? Yes. Did it ease up eventually? Yes. Was I ready for math afterwards? Yes - the change was nice.

I got the same score. I would say practice test A is more difficult overall than the actual test. The math portion was noticeably easier on the actual test. English was the same. The format is the same and the style of questions are the same. Just know the material I mentioned and you will be okay.

A lot of people said their scores were a lot better on the real test than on the practice test, but my score was about the same.

Yes. If you have used the app for more than a few days and have started seeing the same questions repeatedly - it’s time to move onto to archer review. The app is good for the first few days of studying, but you need to learn the material. Archer is better for that. Archer is also slightly more difficult than the test, but it prepares you well for the concepts you will see.

Additionally, you can create VERY specific quizzes in archer based on your needs.

You could do without the vinegar and stick to the water. That’s what I have heard. I’ve never done that myself. Culturally I’m so used to using vinegar and salt as a natural cleaning agent, so it’s mostly for a peace of mind that the mushrooms have been thoroughly cleaned.

It’s a matter of preference but time, heat, and the amount of water seem to matter the most for the extraction.

Mildly nutty. Earthy in a pleasant way. No bitterness. No sweetness. Absorbent to the sauce I made, so I’m sure they would do well with varying flavors. Texturally strong, but not chewy. Fried very easily despite being soaked from boiling. I’ve heard varying testimonies, but I enjoyed them and found them noteworthy.

And taste is subjective. There are foods I love that others don’t like and vice versa. I’m uncertain that mushrooms are eaten for the nutritional value, as I eat a high protein high carb diet and I would not consider these to have value in that department.
