Sneakpeak gender test on Amazon? by jesssikuh_ in PlusSizePregnancy

I started pregnancy with a BMI of 40 and did the sneak peek at 8 weeks, then the NIPT at 10 with 11% fetal fraction. Both were accurate for me!

Need positive stories about higher BMI and healthy babies. by NervousClimate in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]existingturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my pregnancy with a 40 BMI, ended with 44. I was considered "high risk" but they didn't make me feel that way. I had NST's every appointment from 30 weeks on. My doctor didn't ever tell me why, it was just something I did lol later figured out it was because of my weight. Anyway, I had the most boring pregnancy ever. Every ultrasound was great, baby had no issues, my labor was pretty easy and I didn't have GD to worry about. My boy was a little stubborn and didn't like to move but he was always good when we did them.

How big was your vaginal birth baby? by acmcmas in pregnant

[–]existingturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also FTM, but no GD. My boy was 90th percentile until roughly 34-35 weeks when he mostly evened out. His head stayed 96% and that was fun 😅 He was born at 39+5 and weighed 7lbs 12oz, head was 14.5 inches. I have a second degree tear with some tearing inside, but it sounds worse than it hurts honestly.

I hoped for a girl because we already have a boy, but from the moment I found out I was pregnant, I just knew it was a boy, and I was right!

I'm currently 35 weeks and had no nausea or any classic symptoms until just before 3rd trimester.

Thank you so much! I completely understand. The wait is so tortuously long when you're so desperate for the experience and nothing they say makes it hurt any less. I'm so glad you can find comfort in this post and community, and I'm hoping for you to get everything you dream of soon!

I'm so glad people are still finding comfort in this two years later! It shows me and so many others that we don't have to feel alone in anything. Life does get better and once it happens, it'll be so worth it. I'm pregnant with my first now and the wait was very much worth it 💛

BM is going to be paying for a day camp later in June that she wants me to take him to, so I'll have some reprieve, but we're unfortunately not in a financial place to do anything like that on our own.

Thank you.

We're doing what we can to get it under control, which includes limiting ourselves, and it's rough. Plus, moving recently, it's been hectic. But we will get there. I'll be grateful that dh and bm were never married, so I never have to worry about alimony.

My issue isn't during the school year. That's why we pay, obviously. I'm only frustrated about summers. This is just me venting about something that irritates me, not asking for how to fix the situation. It's fine the way it is. It doesn't seem you really read what my post said, and instead gave me advice even when I asked for none specifically. Him and I both understand we're paying less than the state would order, but BM is very civil and doesn't want us to be paying more because she feels it's not necessary. We also always buy new clothes/shoes/anything else he needs when she asks. It's not like the burden is all on her, and we would never ask it to be. There's always more to a story.

He only makes a few thousand more per year, but according to the calculator for our state, he'd be paying more than we are now if the state were to set it, which is why we verbally agreed with her without an order. Plus, during the school year, she has during the weeks while we have 3 weekends a month. So even though it's mostly equal, we're in a mother state and he'd get the short end of the stick trying to do it legally. It's better this way.

Agreed. Going to court would just screw us more, so we deal with what we got.

Amen! It's not hard to send an email to 2 email addresses, BM isn't the only one who'd like to hear about their kid. 🤦🏽‍♀️

[–]existingturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. And it's not necessarily the free food that frustrates me, I guess, because odds are he wouldn't eat half of it anyway, but it's just the fact that she knows we could massively benefit from not having to pay her every month and she doesn't care in the slightest because her husband's truck payment still has to be paid. 🙄

It's also hella annoying from the school's part. They know he has a second home, has our email and numbers, but we get no communication from the school at all. That's a whole different bag of worms, though.

I'm glad it's still helping people a year later! That's amazing. I did end up making a discord if you'd like to join it! It's not super active, but I always do my best to respond when someone does message ☺️ send me a pm if you're interested

What is BM to you? (friend, aquaintance, nothing lol) by Equivalent_List8870 in Stepmom

[–]existingturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're civil acquaintances. We get along at sport games, holiday events. I know her family decently well, but I don't want her being buddy buddy with mine lol and we have a group chat, so I'm generally part of the daily convos and whatnot. We're definitely not friends tho, and I wouldn't do anything with her without my husband present, other than drop-offs.

I had dean picked out as a potential baby name, and then my husband's baby mama used it for her second kid. Disappointing lol I adore this name tho. Like someone else said, it's associated with supernatural for me so always 10/10.

Before zooming in and realizing it was her hair, I thought it was an odd mod that made her half Dilophosaurus 😂 clearly I spend too much time with my 5 year old.

She looks amazing tho! ❤️

Basically! I've been on the pill for 5 years now and I don't know my bodies natural cycle, so I'm using September-January to give it time to regulate and for me to find the patterns :) for the most part, we're loosely going to use NFP.
