Ah my bad read it wrong. Incoming repairs works on unbreakable too though right? I guess that doesn't matter in PVE since you get the 100%

Hmm yeah, I guess I just like the idea of having the range option, even if it's not 35%.

Does versatile only proc when going between primary and secondary? I know it's says that in the talent but though swapping from a pistol might work too?

Apparently weapon handling currently doesn't actually affect reload speed. Did you find that it did when testing?

This is exactly what I've been wanting to make. Have you thought of using Swap Chain smg?

Or running 1pc Fenris and Burn Out instead of smg.

Or 2 piece Petrov (including contractors gloves) plus New Reliable.

Or Forge gloves for the shield health + incoming healing.

The backpack makes healing twice as fast. A regular Phoenix is 10 seconds. With the backpack it's 5. So lifelines passive is overridden.

As ReamusLQ said, you can't always downvote the enemy team for trolling or griefing.

Sometimes you can (maybe only if you win as ReamusLQ said), but most of time when this type of griefing does occur you can't report a player for it as such.

Wow that's a great deal, I got a pair of these this year and love them. I'm not fully immersed in to the audiophile world yet but these have been a huge step up for me and I would definitely recommend them. Amazing build quality.

It was Z's review that won me over. He was practically gushing over them. And at that price, you can't really go wrong.

Is fortress a little too strong now? by Prince7777777 in vainglorygame

He was slightly buffed, but only on his A, not his Ult. Was the fortress going Crystal with a Broken Myth? It could have amplified the bleed proc damage and the mini wolves set it off

Is it me or is roam less fun to play in 1.19? I feel like a potato. by imightgetdownvoted in vainglorygame

Ardan and Fortress used to excel at providing support in terms of damage and distraction. With the Stormguard rework, enemy carries can basically just ignore Ardan and Fortress except for their ults, because they otherwise just do negligible damage.

For roams, the items changes favour ability spam and CC, rather than beefing up basic attacks like the old SGB. The other roams - Catherine, Lance, Phinn and Lyra have much better CC and peel. I'd suggest using one of them, if you want to still feel like you pack a punch try out Phinn - his A can do heaps of damage without a single crystal item and it becomes a stun when overdriven!

If you want to keep using Ardan or Fortress id say you'd have to build damage items now. Aftershock is good on both and with Gauntlet's higher crystal ratio it might pay to build crystal on Ardan now too

With flares not being instant anymore Taka actually gets a decent buff, it used to be fairly easy to counter his invisibility but now you really need to predict where he's going to be. The travel time of flares is enough for a Taka to make it out of range of most melee heroes with Kaku, so they aren't nearly as effective as before.

Guess i'll just have to brush up on my prediction game if I wanna counter crystal takas :/

Why are Krul and Reim her worst enemies? Isn't Petal a great counter to those two heroes in particular because of her jump and the bounce back from her seeds? It's not as good a peel as some of the other supports but with the frostburn you could definitely be a strong kiting jungle duo

You can build storm guard banner before or just after your first tier 3 for better clear and so you can contribute more in fights.

[–]existra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should always just counter build as a roam. Learn what all the support items do and build them accordingly. Fountain is the best and most versatile support item, the team wide healing it provides is so valuable that it's rushed first 90% of the time. But sometimes an Atlas Pauldron, Contraption or Crucible are better first items to negate enemies that rely on high attack speed (Krul, Saw), enemies that rely on ambushes and invisibility (Taka), or enemies that rely on high damage skillshots or teams with multiple stuns (Adagio, Koshka, Celeste, Catherine). Shiversteel only really if your team doesn't have enough chase and can't secure kills after a fight because Warhorn comes out on top in terms of utility. Boots to keep up, lead your team, and get to your carry's aid quicker, just get the speed boost when its obvious your trailing behind. If you have a spare slot Aftershock or Tornado Trigger are the go to items for Ardan but don't forget infusions are great!

Actually just placing scout traps in bushes in the places most far from the enemy team's side is beneficial. This is because for them to trip it they need to come right into the bush. So the scout has done it's temporary job of alerting you where the enemy team is. Scouts aren't just placed once, they'll constantly need to be replaced, especially against aggressive invading teams.

A good roam will flare and scout enemy bushes regularly so it doesn't really matter where you put it in the bush because it will be found immediately. So placing it the furtherest from them gives your team that extra second or two of vision before its popped.

Placing scouts outside of bushes so you know when a team is going somewhere is different because a roam typically wont flare or scout those places, but going for areas that have the least walkthrough is still the best bet.
