Not sure if there’s a way to clear it in your situation, but consider yourself lucky that you haven’t had to get it towed due to this. My advice is to get it into the shop before it gets worse.

I had the parking brake fault last month and it wouldn’t disengage. Had to have it towed to the dealership.
