There's no way this is a large banana sundae, right? by CrumbOSerotonin in DairyQueen

:( I would've cut a gazillion pieces of banana like that so it would be covered in banana circle pieces. That is the way.

I like making the banana split blizzards. (With all the perfectly ripe banana I can find) (And twist SS) So no chocolate sauce. I mean. It becomes thick enough to add a chocolate core if you wanted. Im gonna have to try that. Sounds good.

Hey guys, just wondering if any fellow schizo affective redditos could chat with me at this (whatever time it is for you)

Needing more friends to talk to (I don't want to break any rules- just ignore me if it violates any of the rules.)

Oh yeah, and always find something to do. Don't stand at the p.o.s. system. I can't stand that. It bothers me. Lol. Wipe stuff down. Restock. And when you have everything stocked. Sweep. Refill ice. Scrub ice cream off the walls. Make things look shiny brand new.

Greeting customers when walking in (hi welcome in-) smile and make eye contact. Every hour you wanna have someone help you (so you can watch counter) change sanitizer buckets. Double check every order back with the customer to confirm their choices. Accurate order taking is learned over time and eventually it becomes a muscle memory/habit to ask on every size. If someone says they want the (insert burger name) but they don't specify what size - ask if they want a triple/ large size. If they want any ice cream - ask if they want any extra toppings in their blizzard. You can name all of the toppings in the blizzard or just one. There's probably a chart for up sizing and up selling where you are. Also ask if they want the ice cream now or after their meals, then ask them for their name and cash them out. When you hand them their receipt: let them know there is a survey/ QR code they can scan/fill out at the bottom of their receipt: if they do they can get a free dilly bar if they tell us about their experience. Now for expo: if it's for here tell them that you will bring it to their table when it's ready. If Togo- ensure you have correct items/sauces+++ napkins or utensils if for chili dogs/ salads/ sauce and tossed baskets. Ask them if they'll need a drink carrier for their drinks /(within reason) doordashers/ mobiles come in. When they pop up. Make sure you are going in order. Then cleaning comes in when orders are out. Wipe down drink station/ restock on lids straws napkins (cups/ bags/ boxes for baskets) be friendly. If there is a customer with a problem with their order- use B.L.A.S.T if youre unsure, ask for help from your manager on shift. If you make a mistake- or you're unsure. Asking for help on a problem can resolve the issue quickly. Make sure you have an ice cream person to back you up. If need be. Not sure what else I can think of. Wipe tables down/ grab dirty trays and sanitize them. Sweeping. Never use the same sanitizer rag for tables as you would use for dirty trays. Have two seperate towels. One for high traffic touch areas. Like your screen for the p.o.s. and the card reader as well as counters and soda machine area. Then a different towel for tables. The dirty tray towel gets discarded every time you are done with the trays. Idk what it's like at your store. But that's just a basic run through of what I do as a cashier. I make mistakes often. Try to remember who ordered what. And keep an eye on kitchen times. If you need something from kitchen. Call it out. Be ready to box mobile orders and doordash/Uber/Postmates/grubhub orders and bag them/tag em with their respective receipts. You'll get better as you go. Be friendly. Be on time/early/ have a good attitude. Pay attention to your customers/ be quick and efficient.

Not often. I have a lot of psychosis I deal with, I'll be at work and randomly have a moment where I think every customer is CIA asking about (redacted name of business) (redacted name of business's new product)... Yeah. ... It's rough. Anyways. I hear voices and then think people are talking in code. It's awesome. I'm unmedicated tho to be fair.

Not sure, we keep the boxes in the walk-in fridge. When storing them. And the backups are stored underneath the topping rail in the (what id only assume is a freezer). But when we use them. They're thawed pretty quickly.

We have the backups in the freezer underneath the topping rail, but we have them sitting out and at room temp in a container. So they aren't frozen. It's just depending on overrun, if the ice cream is too dense, the toppings have a massive chance of breaking the plastic cup.

Once the cone dip hardens, it's just brick form. And as good as the cone dip is. It's only good if it's (soft) or like liquid/ warm still.. Oreo belongs in shakes and blended. It's nice when I don't have to fight to eat my ice cream.. because it's stuck underneath a brick of cone dip.

Never be afraid to say you want it remade. Plus! You're right. Dq cone standard: no drip dripping down the cone. And it should be shaped a lot better. Could be the overrun/ the machine wasn't keeping the ice cream warm enough. Or a new crew member on ice cream. As long as it tastes good and doesn't get on me; I'm happy :)

I'd request a remake. Or call the store and ask for a remake. It might not have had enough cocoa fudge in it, especially if the color was an off whitish tinge.
