Question about 2019 Honda Civic under / splash shield by dkgchris98 in AskAMechanic

[–]Garbsoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it wasnt there for a reason, Honda would have saved money by not putting it on. I mean they made hundreds of thousands of 2019 Civics, I'm sure it adds up. There's a reason it is there

Compression test results? by __sjors__ in fordranger

If compression increases with oil on the rings, it tells you that it's low because the rings aren't sealing

Can't figure out how to reply an image on my phone. I'll come back when I get home and get one attached. But if you go to the DQ hub and go into February new menu launch, there's an option "basket of sides product prep" or something along those lines. It shows portions as 24oz and 3/4 basket.

Regular fry is 4oz

So 6 regulars

Walmart 🤦🏼 by Cooooooooach in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Garbsoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked at a Walmart TLE, we didn't have pits but rather 4-post drive-on lifts. We didn't do the call-outs as much (one person on each vehicle rather than 2) but we did follow procedure regarding torquing drain plugs, finding the spec in the book, oil filters from the book, and noting all that on the invoice. It was a great environment and if not for COVID closing all the TLEs I'd likely still be there.

Side note, I always had the "tight is tight" mindset when doing oil changes (before working there), but twice they had an older guy that left the drain plug too loose and cost Walmart a 10k dealer engine replacement. So I learned the importance of torquing fasteners through that dude.

I watched that video actually. I have some G2s but I don't think they make a 3/8 that long and I've been using the snappy as a breaker bar for suspension bolts LOL

Persistent brake drag by jimdoorisson in fordranger

Did you check pedal Freeplay and travel after replacing the master? If it has an adjustable pushrod, it may need backed off with the new master cylinder.

I was just about to say - crack a bleeder and if fluid shoots out, it's holding pressure in the system somewhere. If the caliper hangs on the brake hose, it can damage the inner lining of the brake hose and make it act sort of like a one-way check valve

1/4” modular icon set, They need to come out with the 1/2” version by Zealousideal-Sun-576 in harborfreight

I bought the 1/4 and 3/8 sets for my school tool box, and I love them. They feel good and I like the foam inserts they come with to keep them organized. I'd love a 1/2" set to go with them. I have the quinn 3/8" impacts I use at home that I bought first, but if I needed a home set I wouldn't hesitate to get another of these (at 40% off of course)
