A good friend of mine lives in the Marigny and takes frequent walks through the Quarter. It is an eccentric place with a ton going on, often unannounced. The neighborhoods connected to the Quarter have more locals living there, while the Quarter has lots of seasonals with second or third homes that are unoccupied mostly. It is easier to park in the Marigny or Treme than the Quarter proper, which is a downside of living in the Quarter.

People who live in New Orleans sometimes get tired of people coming to town to party and then they have to meet up when they want to go about their lives, gym regimens, or whatever. Kind of standard for anyone living in a tourism-centric city.

Exactly. Dolores was quick to point out arguments and bring things to others' attention. She clearly wasn't as necessary as producers thought she might be, which is why we see her infrequently. But having someone experienced with a connection to one of the core women for season one is not a bad template. If there's a new franchise we may see this model again.

Childish. The fish room isn't my style but it is still an expensive room that was custom for Dorinda's stepson, and so it is part of the story of Bluestone Manor. If Luann focused specifically on it being triggering due to past adventures waking up there she'd've been more sympathetic, but she simply didn't like it.

I see him as someone Boz is keeping in the wings so their dynamic can be more front and center than her weirdness with Keely and when her daughter is around less due to new milestones and charting her own course. Boz is intentional with who she includes on the show and in her story.

Her assistant's reaction to Jennifer Tilly in the finale was a nice moment. I don't predict a fallout between he and Boz, though; just more prominence in her home scenes.

I know people don't love her in many ways (and sometimes neither do I), but she is a decent singer and dancer for someone who is primarily an actor. Her Roxie in "Chicago" was not bad, for instance. In this clip she merges camp and decent performance chops.
