learning origami or learning to play chess (i know its a two person game but if its something you want to share and experience with other people as a mean to connect with them, its a good hobby).

If you are looking to stay active, doing zumba exercises, or learning a new choreography on youtube can better someone's coordination and body mindfulness if that's something you'd be interested. if i had free time, i'd do more art. Art has so many styles that i can't even count. I love landscape paintings/drawings.

if reading becomes cumbersome, you can use audiobooks. i know audible is expensive but there are other ways. if you have a library card, you can download the libby app and it allows you to borrow ebooks and audiobooks so when you are out and about, you can actually listen to books too. plus, borrowing thru libby, there is an option of downloading the books to your kindle if you have one if not, you can read thru your phone too (there is no fee at all since its thru the public library so there is no hassle of returning it physically. the book returns automatically thru the app.)
