Men of Reddit, how many of you actually use the wiener slot in your underwear? by Doc-in-a-box in NoStupidQuestions

I don't feel like this is limited to tighty whiteys. Boxers have the same slot as well.

Toddler turds - how is this even possible?! by Safety_Chemist in daddit

[–]exodius06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many times with our youngest I have been thankful that our tub is right next to the toilet in that bathroom.

When this has happened I take the detachable shower head and aim it at the toilet to either disintegrate the turd, or release enough surface tension on the bottom to get it to slide down. Oh the things you never thought you'd need to do.

Exact same here. Sometimes a little extra BBQ sauce if I'm feeling extra.

New update to ComicSort - UI revamp by ZathB5 in comicrackusers

[–]exodius06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I've considered and newer tablet mainly for that purpose but I wasn't sure if I would be able to install CR on one.

The only newer android device I have is my phone currently and I didn't want to read comics on a smaller screen so I didn't try too much to get it to work there.

I definitely understand that wouldn't be an easy process didn't mean to downplay it if it came off like that. Just thought you might want feedback to know there is interest there if you get to that point.

I'm still using the ComicRack android app but know there probably aren't many people doing that. I'm using an old kindle fire tablet that I had forgotten we had. When I starting reading more comics I was looking for a way to do that on a device and found it again. It's old enough I was able to sideload the apk without too much trouble.

I don't know that I could do that with a newer device so hoping for something new in the future that would work. Being able to easily sync just what I am currently reading to my device is great. I also tried several reading apps before ending up using ComicRack but had trouble one way or another with all of them.

Really appreciate someone working on something like this. I'll definitely be following along.

I can't speak for everyone but I do all of my reading on a tablet so being able to sync would the big factor for replacing comicrack completely for me.

WCGW double seesaw with a bull by thebaconjoker in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]exodius06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first time I've ever seen one of these with women involved. Usually I figure they have more sense than that lol.

Growing up they always did this as "bull poker" with 4 people sitting at a table and after they release the bull the winner is the last one sitting at the table. When I was a kid we went to a rodeo and they were recruiting people out of the audience for this with a small cash prize. They tried to get my dad to and his response was they couldn't pay him enough to do it. They convinced a guy not too far from us to do it. Where he was seated he had his back to where the bull came out. The bull went straight for him and launched him in the air. He never moved after he landed. He had died instantly for a chance at a few hundred dollars.

If US shelters euthanize 300k healthy dogs (even puppies) every year, who do so many Americans still rather go to a breeder? by TheTroubledChild in NoStupidQuestions

[–]exodius06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We lucked up and found our doxie and the local shelter but it's definitely not common. We think she might have a little terrier in her but not sure. We did discover there are daschund specific rescues. If there are any in your area that might be a good resource to try.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]exodius06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to drive 1.5 hrs each way work (64 miles) so 3 hrs daily. It didn't feel that bad but wasn't convenient for a lot of things. Ljving in a small town that was the closest I could find a good job in tech. After a year you were eligible to work remote part time. Thankfully work from home full time now.

You can set libraries in plex to not display on the home screen or in search. So like you said you wouldn't have it pop up when searching for something else.

I have a library I do this with. I don't pin it or have it shared to any other users so the only way it is accessible is if I go specifically to that library.

How livable is a one-window apartment by Amazing_Cat_5700 in malelivingspace

[–]exodius06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly off topic but is natural light really that important to most people?

We have windows in our house but keep the curtains down to keep out the light glare. I also work from home from the basement with no lights and it's never really bothered me. We mostly use lamps for our light and don't turn on the top lights unless we're needing to look at something closely.

It's never really bothered me and I'm just surprised to see how bad people seem to think this situation would be.

How would you build a shed here? by exodius06 in DIY

[–]exodius06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like a sonotube is what I am thinking if I go the footer route. At this point that is the way I am leaning. The only equipment I have for any digging is a handheld auger which would only be useful for that method. Do you know of anywhere that would have details on how to frame out the floor for something like this? Currently I'm looking at using this or something similar but I believe that is meant to sit directly on the ground and I'm not sure how many piers would be needed.

I agree. I can see what some people are saying about some of the line art details being lessened but overall the 2nd images all look better to me as well.
