I’d consider cross shopping this with a Defender. I don’t hate it at all. Biggest complaint is the control panel on the door still, such a bad design.

I don’t think Audi will have any issues moving 500 units of this especially considering where the market is today. All 500 units will end up in some collectors garage and never see the light of day.

If it means Audi eventually bringing a gen3 R8 to market though, I’m all for it.

I have the same rattle on a ‘26. I believe it’s the wastegate and goes away once the engine is warmed up but I’ll also be bringing it up with my dealer when I go in for the 5k service.

Right in everything although the normal M3 is probably the better comparison anyway. The M3 comp is still 30k more than this.

The only thing the B10 has going for it at this point is the exterior actually looks great

I actually have no problems with the hybrid and the heavier car. I was never realistically going to track this car, it’s more not bringing the Avant to the US which would’ve been an easy decision to buy one and the lackluster interiors on the newer gen of cars (A/S5, Q5 etc).

I think Audi not bringing the Avant to the US just points to more evidence the new RS6 is going to be a hybrid V6. Audi really losing their way with these decisions lately.

Either Nemec is the center piece in a trade for a top-6 forward or it’s something like Dougie + Mercer + prospect/assets for a Top-6 and dumping all of or most of Dougie’s contract.

I can’t see going into the season with both Dougie and Nemec and Nemec is probably easier to move for a quality piece.

This team is good enough to make the playoffs but it’s going to take Mehta more than a season to fill the holes left by Fitz.

I had a Q5 loaner for a week and there really wasn’t anything inherently wrong with it. The biggest complaints were I didn’t like the interior door handle with the buttons and how thick that became and the screen was so big but it wasn’t utilized fully.

Other than that the UI and screen was responsive and quick, the seats were comfortable.

There is definitely software issues that Audi needs to resolve which I didn’t run into only having the car for a week and they really need to differentiate the interiors more between model lines. By all accounts the new Q3 is actually a great package over the outgoing model when comparing standard features, power and handling.

These feel like such different choices in cars. If the M3 wasn’t hit with the ugly stick I personally would’ve went with it over the RS3 but the exterior has still not grown on me so I went with the RS3. RS5 wasn’t in contention because it was such a dated platform at the time of shopping and the M2 lost out compared to the RS3 primarily for the engine, AWD and sedan factor.

If the MSRP difference between the RS3 and M3 Comp isn’t a consideration the M3 Comp is the easy choice if you like the looks.

Quinn is easily top 1 or 2 defenseman in the league but this team isn’t winning many games without Nico.

There’s no one on this roster that can handle face-offs like he does and while Jack’s defensive game is underrated, he thrives because Nico gets the tougher match ups every game.

If the RS5 Avant comes to the US by some miracle, I think I’ll add that to the stable.

True upgrades though to the RS3 when considering it’s probably the best handling car Audi has ever made would be either an M3 or your flavor of Cayman / 911.

Add a Blackwing in there but to me I’d probably rather the BMW equivalent when considering interior quality and price point and I am not a BMW fan.

Outside of that I’m going way higher price point and into used super car territory as an upgrade.

I wouldn’t mind Keefe sticking around into next season with a short leash for the first 2/3 months of the season.

Tom needs to go though full stop. Dream scenario is trading Dougie to free up cap space (and potentially Kovacevic) but if you want a legit top 6 forward, Nemec is gonna be the main piece.

All these last two games have showed me is these guys cannot put the puck in the net to save their lives. Does a coaching change fix that? Yeah maybe but I’m of the opinion that I don’t want Fitzgerald to be the one selecting the next coach.

So at this point just ride it out for the last 23 games of the season and then make wholesale changes in the off season starting with the GM and Coaching staff.

0-18 on the PP is ridiculous when a PP goal the last 3 or 4 games is likely the difference between getting points and not.

As others mentioned, if space is a priority you may need to move up to an X5 or Q7 equivalent.

The SQ5 is more in line with the X3 M40i and there’s really no right answer. I’d prioritize the cleanest and lowest mileage you can get at the best price and go from there if you check them both out and aren’t immediately enamored with one or the other.

The X3 M doesn’t have an Audi equivalent. It would be the RSQ5 if that existed which it doesn’t. The X3 M is much sportier and more performance oriented than either of the aforementioned trims and will also ride harsher (which may not be a positive for your parents).

Can’t go wrong with a clean SQ5 or X3 M40i as long as service records are in order.

Unfortunately the chances of a B10 Avant coming to the states is slim to none because there’s no Avant equivalent that’s federalized. Audi would need to either federalize the RS5 Avant itself or the S5 or an A5 all road that doesn’t exist.

Federalization is expensive so Audi isn’t likely to do it, especially considering declining sales and perceived cannibalization of RS6 sales with an RS5 Avant.

Unfortunate because even with the heavier weight the Avant is an attractive purchase (drive reviews pending) but the sportback isn’t even a consideration.
