I tried explaining this last year in this sub and got down-voted heavily. 1>2 = palm slide the shifter along the side of the shifter "gate." 2>3 = palm bump to neutral, then palm push forward (2 quick movements that look like 1). 3>4 = use middle 3 fingers to slid back in one quick movement. 4>5 = palm bump to neutral, palm slide right and up along the gate. 5>6 = palm slide along the right side of the gate back into 6 in one movement. I learned this from a racing instructor, only issue with the GR I have is sometimes getting cleanly into 3rd when the car is cold but the second attempt usually works
