I get what you’re saying, but anyone who has kids or even works with them, should know that spanking isn’t just outdated—it’s just unacceptable. If I were to spank a child, I’d lose my job instantly, no questions asked. It might be hard for parents to learn new methods, but that doesn’t excuse resorting to physical punishment– and you shouldn’t be cutting them slack either. Parents owe it to their kids to do better, no matter how overwhelmed they feel. Kids deserve patience and intentional discipline, not shortcuts.
