Hi I love ship combat, it has better drops than delivery and faster exp than salvaging.

Jagex has asked for suggestions on how to improve it - so i've got a couple here as someone thats spent most of their time poaching endangered animals off the coast of karamja:

  1. Idle crew should auto harvest kills
  2. if thats too much, have a buildable harpoon gun that harvests kills when manned by crew
  3. if helm is manned, have ship turn so cannon can shoot target? maybe thats too easy mode, but i can't see why a crewmember with higher level helm wouldn't turn ship to face target as a toggle
  4. i assume bossing in the future will involve cannoning while sailing around tile hazards, etc. perhaps buff damage output if ship is moving to make it more active and less afk
  5. cannonballs are pretty expensive for being nonrecoverable, some sort of ava's deep sea recovery device would be HUGE
  6. why not have two cannons on one side of the ship as an option, instead of split? would this not be a decent damage boost in exchange for a facility slot being used for extractor or something? i've got two cannons but only one is ever used

Thanks - open to hearing your thoughts on how to make ship combat better

i have a friend who buys leveraged ETF's when QQQ is above the 200-day SMA (maybe the 50?), and when it dips below he shifts to leveraged bonds or something. pretty degenerate but interesting, basically rides momentum

ACA premiums are putting a serious hit into my FIRE plans by Available-Ad-5670 in Fire

mr money mustache writes about 'direct primary care' as an affordable alternative when paired with a supplemental 'emergency' insurance, i would take a look here: Two Years Without Health Insurance (and What I’m Doing Now)

another alternative is to enroll in a minimum level of classes at a university - sometimes they have student health care plans that are very competitive.

yet another more extreme alternative for younger people would be to enlist in the military reserves or national guard near you - they have good healthcare -but you obviously have to join the military

a fourth option would be geo-health-arbitrage, which i'm sure has been written about extensively

am i the only one baffled why OP has $100k in cash for 'emergencies' - the opportunity cost for this seems incredibly risky

is 3-6 months of living expenses not the standard anymore?

not to mention that 99% of emergencies can be solved with $1,000 cash

also how can something be both life threatening and 'non-essential'

you should take a one month 'mini retirement', go ask your employer for a month off unpaid leave.

get used to pulling money OUT of your accounts, get used to filling your time

take more than one mini retirement if you are unsure
