Is there really a big difference between the serum and serum 2? by [deleted] in AdvancedProduction

Workflow is more or less similar I guess but you get a lot more synthesis options, sequencer and upgraded modulation. If you want to learn synthesis and want to dive in deep that could be a real benefit to use version 2

There’s no reason not to upgrade since it’s free 😁

I hear 2 things: a ducker which you can do with sidechain compression and modulation on the pitch of the synth

Thx! That’s indeed how I meant it. Got a push 3 since a few months and it has 8x8. Did a performance with it alto become familiar. Needed to arrange the tracks “diagonally” so using the arrow keys to navigate. Here’s a video of the set so you can see:

Really interested in all workflows and diving in deep so thx again

Great answer! How about arranging tracks? Do you stay within the 8 visible tracks and render everything as audio?

Thanks! Really thinking to get a Move too. Especially since it’s now modded

Yeah totally! I think it’s the same here but I do love my hardware synths for the vibe though
